Re: Low CPU usage BF2042

Hi Liddle, I get no stuttering at all, it’s actually really smooth. I run Windows 11 and have DDR4 64gb ram. On my older PC’s I would get bad stuttering on battlefield games, so I would have to cap the frame rate so the GPU would only work at about 70%, this removed all stuttering. On my new PC I dont have to cap because it’s really smooth and the GPU runs at about 95%. I also did some testing with direct 11/12 and found no difference with either, but I did find if I enable direct x 12 but disable future frame rendering in the in-game settings I got a lot better 0.1% fps lows, but the average fps was the same. So maybe do your own testing with different combinations of direct x 11/12 and future frame rendering.

@Adamtronik @My GPU runs about the same as it’s exact same system but I use DDR5 ram 32GB. The stutter is like almost one frame backward when running but it is high fps so it can’t be performance related

    cheers

Have you had a look at the troubleshooting guides on here?

have you the latest bios and chipset updates?

Are you using a ssd drive and do they have an updated driver (windows wont install automatically).

Also, have you done any testing with bios settings? things like resize bar, ram remap etc? I got a lot better 1% low fps results by enabled ram remap. check out Fr33thy youtube videos for windows and bios optimisation guides.

also, not sure about your drive setup, but I have all games installed on a second ssd drive (samsung evo pro 970). is your hardrive almost full? this can degrade performance too.

Mate this game doesn't work with DX11. It's all placeboo. You can't run this game in DX11 its a DX12-only game.
