Same here, I had to uninstall it...

Blame the cheaters, it's why EA had to use slash and burn techniques.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AKBLT-1997 You can still you nvidia's and AMD's overlays to monitor vitals. Maybe EA will whitelist RivaTuner
I know but Nvidia's overlay so limited compared to Afterburner this why I really wish they added RivaTuner and MSI Afterburner apps to whitelist.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AKBLT-1997 I'm now curious about what kind of stuff you're monitoring while playing. Just play the game :D Do stress testing in 3DMark/Furmark to see if your system is running ok. Rest can be done in Shadowplay
- sk1lld2 years agoLegend@UP_LordPlumber
MSI Afterburner shows stuff like.
CPU Load %
CPU Temp
GPU Load %
GPU Temps
FPS
Frame times
And a whole lot more.
It's a nice tool! Been in Beta for years now though. - UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@sk1lld Hmm Thats exactly what my AMD Adrenaline does. And I don't need another 2 tasks running in the background compared to MSI/Rivatuner. Fascinating.
Nvidia's overlay doesn't show CPU Temp even there's only CPU Usage for CPU related values.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AKBLT-1997 Weird. I was expecting nvidia to have more powerful software compared to AMD.
- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@AKBLT-1997If you’re just looking to monitor temps and stuff, ICUE has that feature. Maybe whatever cooling you use has something similar? ICUE is Corsair. I have an AMD CPU and also run Ryzen Master (doing a light overclock) which shows temps. Been a while since I had intel, they must have something besides Afterburner (which I used at the time too, so I feel ya). Intel has this now, which I’d try if I was still Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/resources/overclocking-xtu-guide.html
- sk1lld2 years agoLegend@ATFGunr
Hasn't ICUE software sometimes been detected by anti cheats as a cheat?
Only reason I don't install it for my keyboard. - ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@sk1lld Not to my knowledge? I’ve had ICUE running for longer than 2042 has been out, and so far so good. I reverted from the ICUE 5 version as my PC didn’t like it.

awesome. I have a ryzen but nvidia gpu. would this software work for me?
Hi
I want to report that OSD Monitoring is not working in Battlefield 2042 game. Has anyone figured out how to fix this bug? In Battlefield 4 and 5 it works currently and other games I own from different manufacturers.
I'm creating a new post because, from what I see, the creators of the Battlefield 2042 game have no idea how to solve this problem in the previous posts regarding this problem, and so to speak, I need OSD monitoring to start working, because sometimes I have micro freezing during the game (to such an extent that the sound cuts off (those who once overclocked their processor and suddenly lost the stability of their computer due to too low voltage will know what I mean - it is literally the same loudspeaker humming, only that the computer does not jam forever until it is disconnected power supply 🙂 )) and without displaying the consumption/temperature of components in real time while gaming, I cannot determine whether it is the fault of one of the components or simply a game bug.
Admittedly, the game runs smoothly, but those momentary freezing and speaker buzzing (about 0.5 sec) are annoying. The problem occurs randomly, once it works and once it doesn't, it depends on how the game starts and what mood it has 😉
In Battlefield V on ultra Ray Tracing there are no problems (and ultra Raytracing loads the GPU 2x more than BF2042 on ultra - I judge by the number of FPS), so I bet there is some bug in the BF2042 game, but I have no way to check it because I have no way to run the OSD Monitoring.
Specification:
CPU : I7 8700K @ 4,3 GHZ (Stock)
MB: Gigabite Z370 Gaming 5
RAM : GOODRAM 3000 MHz 32 GB
GPU : MSI RTX 2080 Super 8 GB (Nvidia GPU drivers ver 545.84)
Please help.
Not only OSD Monitoring is not working, but also RivaTuner is deactivated so fps cap is not working too. Therefore stuttering and performance issues...
- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@sk1lld I reverted to the last updated version of 4, I don’t remember why I reverted, I lean towards it being an odd performance hit. It’s already a bit of a resource hog, and I think it was just dragging my PC down when I played 2042. The game itself is so poorly optimized, it’s better than start that’s clear, but it’s not where it should be. I do remember that it stopped recognizing devices, in my situation it was the 3060ti that didn’t show and I use icue to run the lighting. (5800x, 3060ti, 3600 mhz 32 gb ram, 750w psu. DLSS set to performance, with high settings. Most of the graphics bells and whistles like vignette off)
Me too
Yeah, right FPS lock do not work too in BF2042 only.
For fps limit I currently use Nvidia Control Panel (screen below)
For sluttering i tried this commands :
Thread.ProcessorCount #
Thread.MaxProcessorCount #
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount ## = Numbers of logical threads
But this made only some more FPS, but didn't fixed sluttering/freezing.
If i Helped someone please give me xp.
@DMGG1994The highlighted option just limits the fps of an application in the background (alt tabbing, when it's not the active application.) the “Max Frame Rate” option in the Nvidia Control Panel, limits the fps when actively playing.
Sadly, it's a GPU based limiter and therefore not as precise as the CPU based one used by RTSS.@SunglxzzDerMiez True, but currently I haven't found any other way to limit FPS, since RTSS doesn't work at all under BF2042, especially since BF2042 doesn't even have a working command to limit FPS... it's good that something works at all.
To be honest, I started my adventure with BF2042 from season 6, because there was a big discount 🙂 So I don't know how it worked before, but this is the first game I play that has a problem with RTSS.
I'm more curious if EA blocked RTSS on purpose for political reasons, or if it's just a bug that they will fix in a small patch.
- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@DMGG1994 EA created their own anti cheat, and it’s kernel based. This is interacting with many of the aftermarket PC tools so they have to be disabled or you’ll get banned as cheating. It’s a brand new anti cheat and it’s broken. We can only hope they fix it and whitelist these legitimate software tools.

Here’s a crazy question, and it’s based on the speaker pops you’re describing. Do you have anything like a fridge hooked up on the same circuit your PC plugs into? I had that issue, and it was because I had a beer fridge in my office where my PC is. For weeks I thought it was a PC issue. If you google it you’ll get all the explanation needed so this post isn’t a giant novel, but it’s worth investigating. I had an older fridge and had to get rid of it. Sounds crazy but it’s an electrical fault and could be your issue.Good luck.
@ATFGunr No, during stress testing the computer is loaded 1.5x harder than when playing Battlefield 2042 (the processor, for example, draws 90-100 watts, while during gaming it draws a maximum of 65 watts), also electronics or power supply is not a problem. But good point. I know this from HWINFO statistics, our luck HWINFO has the ability to save statistics to a CSV file, also at least that much can be checked. The computer voltages are also stable, also it's not that. I haven't overclocked the processor either, also it's 100% healthy, especially since the temperatures don't exceed 65 degrees C. The electronics line to the computer is unencumbered (no kettle/fridge, etc., also nothing is jamming my connection. I have a 750 watt power supply, also far from overloading it. Battlefield V on Raytracing Ultra overloads the computer a lot more than Battlefield 2042, if it's ok in BF V, it means that the problem I described above is caused by something else.

Yah mate that’s what I’m saying. If it’s not your computer, it must be something else. Speaker pops is always caused by electrical feedback, so somewhere on your circuit is a something causing it. In my case, the compressor fan on my fridge would cause a surge in the electrical wiring of my office and would result in a speaker crackle sound and usually a lurch in whatever game I was playing. Could be a fan or a light, or the wiring of your house. It’s power supply based, one thing you can try is adding a line conditioner to your PC plug in. It will smooth the juice coming to your PC and should eliminate the speaker pop issue. I’m just a hack here so take it with a grain of salt but for what exploring it on your own will cost you, maybe it’s worth some research.
I would not be surprised to learn that 2042 is contributing somehow the game has been a mess since release especially for the PC community. It was not a great port from consoles but that’s now all we’ll ever get. If the pop only ever happens in 2042 then it does point back to the game, it’s just super weird as it really sounds like an electrical issue.
