@DMGG1994The highlighted option just limits the fps of an application in the background (alt tabbing, when it's not the active application.) the “Max Frame Rate” option in the Nvidia Control Panel, limits the fps when actively playing.

Sadly, it's a GPU based limiter and therefore not as precise as the CPU based one used by RTSS.

@SunglxzzDerMiez  True, but currently I haven't found any other way to limit FPS, since RTSS doesn't work at all under BF2042, especially since BF2042 doesn't even have a working command to limit FPS... it's good that something works at all.

To be honest, I started my adventure with BF2042 from season 6, because there was a big discount 🙂 So I don't know how it worked before, but this is the first game I play that has a problem with RTSS.

I'm more curious if EA blocked RTSS on purpose for political reasons, or if it's just a bug that they will fix in a small patch.

Did i fix MSI AFterburner + RTSS problem ?

How i did it ?

1. Turn on Intel Present Mon
2. Resize the Intel present Mon program OSD window to the appropriate size under OSD Monitoring MSI Afterburner
3. Have Fun

RTSS FPS Limit still don't work, this is only fix for OSD Monitoring by MSI Afterburner + Riva Tuner

You don't need PresentMon for that. RTSS includes special helper tool called DekstopOverlayHost - it is borderless 3D window with adjustable transparency and color key, aimed to display RTSS (or any other third party OSD!!!) right on your desktop. So just start DesktopOveralyHost, make it transparent in application properties and put it on top of BF 2042 game window, and you'll see RTSS OSD mirrored there.

Butt the problem for me is not show the fps, but FRAMETIME that RTS provide and dont work know!

great i don't recall how to create a file so you don't have to do it inside BF2042, there's a way i did it before

Is this type of "bypass" Intel present Mon + RTSS (@DMGG1994 post no. #88 page 9) or using  DesktopOverlayHost overlay safe?
EA Anticheat won't treat this as cheating?

Please - can I use this bypass in RTSS (DesktopOverlayHost) or a similar solution in the FpsMonitor or Intel Presentmon application - is it safe?
Will Msi Afterburner +RTSS return to the whitelist?
Many people miss this type of monitoring overlay in BF2042.
I'm worried I'll get banned for using this.

OSD Monitors aren't banned by EA.

BF2042 simply does not allow applications to infect other applications (in the sense that EA disallowed Riva Tunner and other programs from adding external programs to their code to minimize the possibility of running some hack in the game).

I've been using  Desktop Overlay Host since almost the beginning of season 6 and I'm still playing 🙂 The only thing is that Desktop Overlay Host does not display the correct FPS for the game (it displays the FPS for the Desktop Overlay Host window) I use Intel Presentmon to display FPS.

If this is true, I'm glad I can use this workaround 🙂
I just have a little problem that I don't understand.
RTSS was injecting itself after starting the game.
Can Intel Presentmon be started automatically when Windows 11 starts with the "Custom" profile I have set?
If this cannot be done
so I have to run it myself every time before BF2042 ?
