Re: PC Black screen on launch of game

Hi all - don't know if this will help anyone. Updated BF2042 to patch 3 this evening via the EA app, launched and black screen after splash screen - surprise, surprise.

Checked this thread and tried a few things - clear cache of EA app, set BF to administrator etc - but still black screen on boot. In desperation I installed origin onto my pc. Logged into origin and it auto checked the BF2042 files. However something was seemingly missing as after the file integrity check by origin it downloaded something for BF (small d.load, maybe a couple of mb - took around a minute and defo not update 3 again).

I then successfully booted into BF via origin and I got in without issue? All very odd as I have obvs not deleted or changed anything on my pc or the BF install since I last played, other than the EA app installing patch 3.

I've read the thread and understand that loads of you have tried this but I thought I'd post up just for visibility.

Are you guys going to fix this or we are going to be ignored again and again ?

It's seems like you guys don't care at all about ours problems it's been almost 1 month and we are not able to play the game at all.

Fix your game or just don't release it next time cause it's seems like the game is not complete at all i can understand that there is many bug but it's not normal that the game doesn't launch after almost 1 month and 3 Updates.

Come on EA fix it quickly
