There was a new Nvidia drivers this week, can you try it out and see if that helped.

The new driver actually made it worse. Now I am crashing more consistently. @EA_Atic

Still having this issue on new nvidia driver 496.76. Any ETA on when this will be fixed? I havent been able to enjoy the game due to constant directx error.

Well indeed i installed the new driver. I also undervolt my graphic card. And now the game worked !! No crash since.
I didnt try the game with the inital setting of my card, i ll keep you posted.
