  • purchased through steam. ping testing through cmd prompt. no packet loss there or in any other game. only in bf2042. not hardware as solo/ coop and portal work fine. in aow constant yellow packet loss icon, rubber banding, the cargo on the light transport always jumps, my rockets pass through tanks. unplayable!

  • Still unplayable after the update... progression in portal & coop/solo is still disabled... time for compensation...

  • Same Issue here,

it persists since the "early access" and I even upgraded my Internet connection to 250+ Mbit/s to make absolutely sure there is nothing wrong on my Side.

Until Last Week, they even listed this in the Known Issues thread here on this site stating their sure it's on their Site, and they're "all over it".

On the last time I've looked at the Thread, they just deleted the point from the List, no Feedback on this Issue or any Update whatsoever.

And if this isn't enough you've to accept new Terms on downloading the "Update" in which u explicitly accept that u step back from your right of refunding the Game. Which in my case isn't possible anyway because I already got 16+ hours, of which I spend like 8h lurking in the Main Menu trying to fix it and the Rest "playing" this Lag fest and trying to enjoy my go-to Game which basically never disappointed me this much and I come way back from BF2

I'ts not even the Fact that I spend 80 Euros for a Game of which in the best Case I can use like 66% (if u count Portal and Hazard Zone as roughly 33% each which let's face it they're not...) it's the Fact that they're abusing Peoples good will and not even considering self reflecting their decisions for one second asking themselves if this is what the Community really wants.

I mean, looking at patch notes you can see that fixing their Hazard Zone Mode is more important than making relevant Changes like Bloom, Server Issues or even Balancing Vehicles.

Their Main Goal is to fix the things first they expect to generate Money from after Launch by selling In Game cosmetics, Operators and what not.

Their basically using resources for fixing a Game Mode witch will die within approx. 3 Months cause people have had enough from milking the "Battle Royale" Cow.

Don't get me wrong I don't want to say that u shouldn't enjoy the Game if you do I'm totally fine with that but for me this Game is a burning Garbage Can and I highly regret my decision of trusting them by pre-ordering their product.

Dear Developers, just think back for a second to a Time when people were actually buying Solid Copy's of your product. (formerly known as CD's or DVD's)
If Technology hadn't evolved over the Years like it did to make Day one patches and releasing unfinished S-h-i-t even Possible, most of your Studios would already be bankrupt years ago.

I beg you please stop abusing Tags like early Access, Beta and what not to get into People's Wallets and focus on developing a good Product cause a good Product sells itself. (You don't even have to Invest huge lumps of Money into fancy trailers, sounds weird, I know)

Imagine all the Resources u can save by just do it properly once.

I'm not that kind of Person complaining over Things in extra long Forum posts, but I've had enough, this needs to end, and it needs to end now.

Sadly, for this to happen People (including myself) must stop pre-ordering Products made up by fancy Trailers and false Promises and I don't see this to happen in the near Future.

I can only imagine how much 2042 hurt the BF Franchise at this Point and this makes me really sad as like I said it has been my go to for over a decade now.

  • @bigger92 I actually got a response from EA regarding that problem. The didn't reply anything but set the issue simply to "can't be resolved"

Seems like it's time to bury battlefield and any future EA product

Oh wonderful... Way too late to get refunds now too

On my portal i see pings over 100 even into the 200's with like 5 in the double digits such a wasted mode.

Also this game requires a 58kb internet connection let that sick in you can see this on origin in the system requirements.

We basically have worse data packet sizes as grand theft auto online a P2P game...................

  • Yesterday I spoke with the EA help and they told me that is a known issue, reported by a lot of people and the dedicated team ias at work to solve it asap. They told me to wait until the next fix...

I have massive pack loss in every game I join resulting in  massive lag and rubber banding even though I have a 2,5 Gb/s connection. Guess I'll wait till the problem is fixed, not the ideal outcome but I don't have other choices, right?

Any news on this because I'm pulling my hair out with packet loss. I've tried everything and PC is well up to the task.. same as everyone else.. just fix it 🤬

  • I think the only way is to wait a fix if it will ever come, until then my game remains uninstalled.

I'm assuming this isn't a wide issue because I've never seen a dev even recognize the issue. I recently started getting this when 3.2 dropped and before that the game ran with no issues. I don't know what to do any more.

This is one issue the devs will NOT fix.
