It's strange that the app lets you choose an intall location if that is the case. It does say "pre-load available" in the app too.
Mine currently says "downloading" on the "my collection" page but i get not network activity and there's no download on the downoad manager page.
@RaXhaWell in your case you have EA Play Pro, so you are entitled to the full game Early Access starting on the 12th. Also, you are able to pre-load now!
However, I would recommend using Origin for your pre-load... the EA Desktop app is a Beta and has some issues still.
I am fairly sure @Mahtisiili has EA Play and so will likely need to wait for the download...
I just solved my problem by reinstalling EA Desktop, pre-loading right now. :-)

In EA´s live chat we refunded my purchase. The purchase was bugged (bought in July/21).
-> Now i bought game from steam, DOWNLOAD STARTED NORMALLY!.
