@ColdFire1, ah my mistake, you indeed had a PC and no PS5. Got confused a bit there with the title of the thread.

Yeah, moving the game from an HDD to an SSD can indeed quite improve the performance of it.
  • @ColdFire1 I had issue on old PS4 until the disc drive failed so I bought a PS4 pro and installed a brand new SSD drive in it, still getting rubber banding. EA support email has said they are aware of the issue, it's not our end. Not internet or console.
  • @ColdFire1 Loads of people are having the issues, it's their end. My kids have been on all morning on Fortnite and now playing rocket league with no problems.i don't have it with battlefield 5 either. I've had an engineer out several times and nothing wrong with connection, they're even going to repull the cable from house to cabinet in January for me. I had a few games other night and no rubber banding but then next game it got rubber banding.
  • @EA_LeeuwGetting sick of it now, had a few rounds and it was ok, then next round it rubber bands, it's either your game or the servers. Making me rage and starting to hate the game.

Oh and the graphics seem to have changed, looks rubbish now on PS4 pro on a 4k TV, didn't look that bad a week ago.

    Hey @domodemon,

I truly understand the frustration this all might cause you, however we have not received any reports about server issue or anything in relation to that, so it does not seem to be server related.

If the troubleshooting steps that I posted earlier did not work for you, I am afraid that we're currently not able to solve the issue and we have to wait for a possible update or you could see if checking the situation with a network technician / your ISP results in something for you.
  • Other people are having same issue, I've tried a 5gmobile broadband hub with good speeds and still getting the issue. I've got another ISP installing in January to see if that works. According to your support it's not my internet.

  • @EA_Leeuw I found a solution to this problem.  As I have mentioned earlier in this post or another similar one, I have tried so many things Xbox and internet related.  In the end, the solution was since this is the only game I have an issue with, I just quit playing it.  Problem solved.... Back to PUBG, no more problems!

Here is my post from another topic copy pasted with some things I have tried.

I have the same issue playing from Xbox one x with a Samsung t5 SSD, since I cannot find a series x to buy yet.  I call it lag, jerking or stuttering, but I do not believe it is internet related, as I have done multiple tests and have not had issues with any other game.  I have 80-100mb down and 40mb upload.  Ping generally around 30-40ms in most games that have the option to show internet details on screen.  I believe it is strictly related to poor or incorrect coding or game design/execution.

It can get really bad in helicopters, jerking back forth while trying to fly and aim.  It also happens on foot just when running and basic movements are being made and of course during gunfights and aiming and sometimes the game literally stalls for a fraction of a second while I engage in a gunfight, substantially putting me at a disadvantage.

I have tried many things to improve this from blowing out the Xbox to insure no excess dust creating heat, repositioning the Xbox for better airflow with external fans to promote better cooling....to letting a friend be the party leader, and even turning my FOV from 90 were I like to run, down to the lowest 50, and turning off all extra graphic options such as screen shake, extra HUD details, chromeratic abberation, vignette, etc.... All settings that I can possibly think MIGHT give me a chance in having an enjoyable game instead of an aggravating one.  I am about ready to call it quits if they can't fix this game as this is only 1 issue out of many with BF2042 (I have reported some of them, but am starting to feel like I should be a paid game tester and not an end user).

I have also been an avid battlefield player way back to when the first battlefield on PC was modded for modern combat, but I will choose to play a less desirable game to me that is stable and working over one that I want to play, but it is broken.

I do understand games have bugs and problems that need to be fixed and I try to be understanding, but it seems overwhelming for this game, and an overly excessive amount of major core issues from such a large company.

If you want to see video evidence, all of my past streams can be found on my twitch.  I would even be willing to conduct tests or show this happening live if it would be helpful or speed up the fixing process.

@Silentwolfe Just watched one of your videos, the one titled invisible, you start in the chopper, mines doing the exact same, not every round, had a go earlier and the first round was fine but next round got the jerking, I'm sick of it now, just bought a new router and it still does it. I've even got a new ISP installing in January to see if that works but I don't think it will. Hope they sort it out. A proper server browser would help because I think it matchmakes into the wrong servers.
  • Its not us, its them..... only game stuff like that happens to me on is BF2042.... dont waste your time troubleshooting your end... just play a different game till they fix everything.

@Silentwolfe You been on again lately? I'm still getting the stuttering rubber banding, had a fair few games that didn't do it then boom next match starts doing it. I've got a cable repull on the 4th then another ISP installing on 6th if it does it on the new ISP then it's deffo them, bout time they sorted it out.
