@atomike84, in that case, there is indeed something not right with your order that you placed with PlayStation. I recommend reaching out to them to see if they can take a look at your PSN Order history.

If PlayStation mentions that a refund is the only possible fix, I am afraid that this is the only possible fix and that something went wrong with your order. Unfortunately, we can not look into the order systems of Sony PlayStation as console orders (or any 1st or 3rd party others for that matter) do not go via our systems.

@EA_Leeuw I know what the price is now, but on the day I preordered (the day of the announcement), it was 79,99, see below:

Having the same problem here. They definitely removed the wrongly priced version I bought when they adjusted the price. 

Same issue here. I’m sure a refund isn’t the issue. Surely either EA or PS can give us the correct licence to download? 

I have the same issue. Preorder countdown timer is at 00:00:00 and when I click into that it says auto download is enabled for 10/16/21 which is obviously the original launch date but no one updated that to today. I contacted PS support and they said I own the license for the standard edition but didn't know what to do in order for me to actually download it. EA help says it's a Playstation store problem and Playstation support says it's a Publisher issue. It's been fun getting the run around today.

had a call call with Sony again. They asked me to send a screen shot of the library where you can see the "00:00:00" instead of "Download".

I also sent a screen shot of my PS mobile app where it only shows that I have pre-ordered it.

So Sony said to to me that it will take up to 48h to work on the ticket. Beginning on Monday because they don't work at the weekend (here in Germany).

I called Sony too and they would not give me a refund. They said to contact EA. I am pretty frustrated with the whole thing. They took my money, but didn’t give me what I bought, and then blamed the publisher. If I preordered the game from Game Stop and walked in to pick it up and they didn’t have it available wouldn’t I get my money back? I’m sure EA messed something up, but Sony should have given me my money back. Please get this fixed soon.

@EA_Leeuw Do you think it is possible to get some EA support specialists on this thread to look at this matter? We bought the game in June as soon as it was announced and at the time the game was 59.99 on the store for the PS5 version. Shortly after we bought it the listing disappeared and another listing with 69.99 was put up for the same PS5 standard version. Our guess is that the someone at EA made a mistake putting up the page on Playstation Store and they deleted the listing before putting up the new one. This leave us with licenses to a deleted SKU and hence EA servers do not authorize us to download the game. People have been bounced back and forth between EA and Sony support teams as neither take responsibility to solve this issue. I think not enough people are affected by this issue to blow this out, so neither one of the companies are prioritizing to resolve it.

I (Germany) had exactly the same issue. I pre-ordered the game 1 minute after it was possible to pre-order in the PS store. Next day I realized that I had paid 69,99€ for the PS5 standard edition. And then there came something in my mind. Didn't the PS5 games became more expensive? And so I checked it again and realized that the official price was a day later in the PS Store 79,99€. Of cause I was happy. But as you described I think that this is the problem.

Same problem here, I pre purchased the game back in June and fully expected to playing on launch day. I have followed every trouble shooting guide with no success and can see this is an issue that many players are facing. I hope this issue is fixed soon and adequate compensation is offered. It’s been total pointless pre ordering BF2042 and is putting me off pre ordering again. 

Not sure if you guys have tried recently but mines fixed! somebody messaged me an hour ago on reddit and said there’s had and I just tried. Go try!
