Re: Radeon VII - Some Sundance skins crash the game when on screen

@sparticus414 if at all possible, close the EA Desktop window while playing and just let it run in the tray (I do this with Origin but not sure if you can with EA Desktop)

  • @ryannathans unfortunately I can't. even when I try to run it from a shortcut, it will actually open EADesktop prior to launch. super annoying

@sparticus414 my understanding is that the windows 11 UI is a browser, and running browsers causes me to crash the same as you describe. I wonder if you'd a bit * out of luck with win 11, can you try win 10 on a spare hdd or something? On win 10 and closing literally everything I can play without any crashes in modes that don't have sundance
  • @ryannathans Interesting. I was playing the beta with windows 11 also but didnt have the issue. Windows 11 does in fact have some horrible default DVR stuff where everything is basically an overlay as you describe, but I've already gone in and disabled all that a long time ago as its havoc on your FPS. W11 is a bit of a different animal in the UI perspective versus 10, so it wouldnt surprise me if you are correct, I am just hoping its not the case. 🙂
