Re: Resolved - PC Update 4.0.1 - Game won't go past EAC screen and EA app returns

I haven't been playing much so I'm not sure, but I'll post an update if it returns.

EA App problems main reason. when i use old origin version and block his update xml file pre settings as this text: everything working fine.

This file inside this location: C:\ProgramData\Origin You need to uninstal EA app and use origin but before launching origin this file must be editted: If this doesnt work for you then you need older version of origin file - because origin updated to not work.

I have been having the same problem - gets to the initial green 'season 4' screen and then just returns to the EA app screen

I clicked on 'Manage' game and did a 'Repair'  -- next time I played the problem had disappeared. Only played once, so maybe too soon to claim success !!' 

One thing I did notice after the 'Repair'  - as the game launched I got a message from Windows "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your computer"

The app in question was the EAC

For those of us who are affected, it seems to be getting worse. It took me 20 attempts to start the game earlier this evening. It's highly inconsistent. A couple hourse later it took 3 attempts. When I play very early in the morning, it usually only takes 1 or 2.

@ham1tcagdasThe Origin client is no longer available from EA official sources. I'm not about to download the executable from some 3rd party website. EA needs to fix this issue.

This will not fix a thing, the same problem persist, so ignore the spamming of this nonfix..

Issue is not the EA app, it's something with the game startup, not what launches it..

     Thanks for the tip - but the 'Repair' game I did last night has worked for me (windows PC) : Opened the game 5 times since repair and it has worked fine each time....

@b0gart-555Don't bet on it. I've gone a day where it launch on first try several times in a row, only for the problem to return the next day. You're probably just getting lucky. I hope I'm wrong.

Are you still experiencing this particular issue after installing Update 4.1?

If you still experience the issue the first time after installing Update 4.1, please repair the game and try again. If it still happens after that, please let us know!

When you run into the issue, it would be greatly appreciated if you could generate an EA app Error Reporter ID (how-to) and post it here in the thread.

Stuck on searching for EA service again. Tried 4 times. No luck.

Patch 4.1.0 fixed the closing at the anti cheat screen with BF2042 for me.

I started the game many times and the problem did no longer occur.

I still have another issue, but that is another level of troubleshooting, that is not EA/Bfield Related

NOPE, still not fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Changed graphics drivers, repaired the game, reinstalled and repaired the game, repaired ea app... uninstall and reinstalled the app..

ALL NO GO.

And it all happened after the 4.0 or 4.01 update!

@bigXoptimake sure ya delete all hidden folders / files also
Use revo uninstaller to uninstall bf2042 (and game platform), make sure ya checked ADVANCED in revo to scan and check for any registry keys / folders.

Then manualy delete all folders / files related to bf2042 / EAC.

I delete everything from EAC / BF2042 , Origin and EA app at locations below:
C:\Users\USERNAME/AppData (folders local and roaming)
C:\ProgramData
C:\Program Files (x86)
C:\Program Files
