Resolved - PC Update 4.0.1 - Game won't go past EAC screen and EA app returns

When I run 2042, after the easy anti-cheat logo appears, eaapp runs again without any reaction. No error message appears. CM: edited title for clarity.

@DigitalHype it fixed my issue. i didn't explain all the steps above. you need to block xml file as read only to make it work properly. i m not sayig this coz i dont want you get fixed it anymore lmao.

Update 4.1 has just been made available.

Are you still experiencing this particular issue after installing Update 4.1?

If you still experience the issue the first time after installing Update 4.1, please repair the game and try again. If it still happens after that, please let us know!

When you run into the issue, it would be greatly appreciated if you could generate an EA app Error Reporter ID (how-to) and post it here in the thread.

    @EA_Leeuw This is a frustrating news, I can not play the game properly from the fourth season, the game will give me flashback, I tried a variety of ways can not be solved, and finally I had to give up, today updated 4.1.0, I decided to try again, found the game not only flashback, the screen will also be fixed in one place, but the game is sound, you just can not play. My video card is 4090, my cpu is 5800x, 32g of RAM, and my drivers are up to date. I'm really frustrated, I bought the game from the first release, now is not eligible to play?

    Patch 4.1.0 fixed the closing at the anti cheat screen with BF2042 for me.

    I started the game many times and the problem did no longer occur.

    Fixed.

    I still have another issue, but that is another level of troubleshooting, that is not EA/Bfield Related

    NOPE, still not fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Changed graphics drivers, repaired the game, reinstalled and repaired the game, repaired ea app... uninstall and reinstalled the app..

    ALL NO GO.

    And it all happened after the 4.0 or 4.01 update!

    @bigXoptimake sure ya delete all hidden folders / files also
    Use revo uninstaller to uninstall bf2042 (and game platform), make sure ya checked ADVANCED in revo to scan and check for any registry keys / folders.

    Then manualy delete all folders / files related to bf2042 / EAC.

    I delete everything from EAC / BF2042 , Origin and EA app at locations below:
    C:\Users\USERNAME/AppData (folders local and roaming)
    C:\ProgramData
    C:\Program Files (x86)
    C:\Program Files

    Cheers

    ps ya need to download / reinstall gameplatform and game again if ya do the same as i did !
