Re: S6 - Stuck on Black Screen during Pre or End of Round > Requires Game Restart

So after more than a week of no black screens at the end of rounds, I have just had two rounds in a row both with the dreaded black screens.

Looks like it's back to square one.😒

Definitely you have not enough RAM, increase the virtual memory of the system (set 16 GB that is 16384 MB) . In the attached screen shot I described how to do it. Download the screen (manual.jpg) to your desktop and enlarge it for yourself. The order according to the numbering (from left to right). After doing this, restart your computer. I had the same problem with BFV, this is how I solved the problem in which Windows without any error closed the game itself before buy another 16 GB.

Windows has a protection against RAM clogging, which causes the computer to freeze and become unstable, when, according to Windows, there is a risk of reaching full RAM, then it shuts down the application that consumes the most memory.

    Note:

I do not recommend setting the virtual memory to SSD (it will consume it faster). It is best to choose an HDD for this purpose.

  • Yeah...that's not how computers work...

Anyway, just read the patch notes on 6.2, no mention of a fix for the black screen or similar.

Full disclosure, I have had a few weeks off BF2042 (as have my mates) but will be coming back next week.

Will this issue be resolved in 6.2?

I have had the same issue since purchasing the game mid-October. The problem has *improved* but is certainly not fixed. Im using an i7-8700k with a 1080ti, latest driver (546.17), all low everything/disabled. Ive *ALSO* recently run into the movement lag 100% CPU issue. Really sad to see the state of this software this long after release.

Thankfully the black screen issue has stopped for me, haven't seen one for quite a while now.
