Battlefield 2042 crashes to reboot – caused by eaanticheat.sys (Bugcheck 0xF7)

EA AntiCheat is a piece of crap software.  The developers completely suck and are unable to solve any real problems.  Only EA would have software that after you actually get your game running (after tons of BSOD) that your own 3 EA AntiCheat software would get corrupted and need to be downloaded again... each and EVERY time you play the game - somehow IT CORRUPTS ITSELF.  Absolutely disgusting.

Harsh words aside that's my routine for the past weeks:

1) Verify game files

2) Download same bunch of corrupted anti-cheat files

3) Play game for 5-10 mins

4) Get crash to desktop or 5 kinds of BSOD (i didn't knew some of them even exist)

5) Repeat from (1)

And I have like 10 lvls of battle pass to go.

I've tried reinstalling all drivers and BIOS, downgrading CPU and RAM numbers, giving admin rights to all applications, turning off all overlays (Steam, EA, Nvidia), rolling back GPU drivers - everything I saw people say. Nothing works.

This is miserable and insulting experience.

I have a MSI Pro Z790-P Wifi.

I am also having this same issue - never ran into this before today and have tried to many fixes

我和你遇到了同样的问题。我在9月23号这天尝试了一共四次进入游戏并且进入战斗的操作。其中有三次的代码都是跟你一样的(DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER)。唯独第三次的代码不一样（KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED）。但是他们的dmp文件都指向了同一个程序，也就是eaanticheat.sys。我尝试过中文互联网上的教程，在第二次蓝屏之后打开了EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe并且对反作弊程序进行了更新和修复。但是并没有好转。启动游戏之后不到1分钟依旧会有蓝屏。而且触发十分稳定。这明显不是意外。

I encountered the same issue as you. On September 23rd, I attempted to launch the game and enter ballte four times. 

Three of those crashes displayed the same error code as yours (DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER).

Only the third crash showed a different code (KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED).

However, all their DMP files pointed to the same program: eaanticheat.sys.

I followed tutorials found on Chinese internet forums. After the second blue screen, I opened EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe and attempted to update and repair the anti-cheat program.

This did not resolve the issue. The game still crashes within a minute of launching, and the crashes occur consistently.

This clearly isn't a random occurrence.

Download and use WhoCrashed (HOME EDITION)
Check if ya can find any issues and investigate them !

Also make sure the memory at youre system is in the QVL from your motherboard/cpu.
Run without any XMP setting first to check if that solves any issues.

Flash latest version of youre motherboard BIOS.
Sometimes after flash latest bios , ya need to do a cmos (bios) reset.
This is mostly done by connecting two pins at your motherboard for serveral seconds (make sure any power cable is disconnected from system) <> check manual !!

Having to flash your bios followed by a bios reset because the anticheat is having a fit is NOT an acceptable fix

glad it worked for you... won't for me... I've been through bios upgrades before. even downgraded and it helped nothing.
