It indeed looks to be a very persistent problem, unfortunately. The teams are still investigating, unfortunately we have no updates available on the status.
@EA_LeeuwHi, thanks for replying. Is it possible at the very least to preserve this issue and maybe give the badge later when it's fixed? I'm not that big of a completionist guy, but I was looking to finish this season in its entirety and would very much like to get the badge.
It seems a reasonable solution cause I did in fact get the badge, but it reverted me back to the gold one. In other words, I technically got it and I just need to revert it back to the Tier 1, lol.

We've passed that feedback/idea on to the teams. However, it is unfortunately not up to us to make these decisions.
