I can't Sprint either. It comes and goes but 90% of the time I can't Sprint. Using an elite 2 controller on PC.

I use a Scuf Prestige. I just recently fixed this issue. Turns out it was not an issue with the game. I had to “loosen” my triggers a little bit and it fixed the issue. Not sure why this caused a problem with the sprint.
But maybe if you have the option to tighten and loosen your trigger sensitivity that might help you
