Re: Time Nudge still a thing

@EA_LeeuwOk. I haven’t been experiencing the high CPU spikes, my 5800x runs about 70% at load, 32GB of 3600mhx RAM is at 60%, I don’t track my GPU usage but it’s a ROG 3060ti at the factory OC and it’s running at 60c and not working hard. Settings are all at high, with everything on.

@EA_Leeuw I’m going to check out that thread and the solution it offers, thanks. I didn’t turn on the network bar prior to 3.1, however from how it feels when the TN spikes I can say I did not have it before 3.1. I did have a 1070 overclocked with Afterburner to wring every last fps out of it, averaged 60fps but had drops. It was a different feeling of lag, when you’d see the frames drop to 53 and it would be laggy for a bit. Smoke, explosions, high player counts all contributed IMO. With high TN spikes I get no drop in frames (now pulling 110 with new card), just a slowing down of the game & a lot of judder.

DxDiag in case its relevant. TN spikes up to 479 today (Dec 23 22) Crowds, not crowds, while dead and respawning in menu, hits at random times. I've read other posts about making a user cfg file to limit how many cores are active. Really? We need to limit cores because of Frostbite?? I'm utterly confused.

@EA_Leeuw Some updates if the feedback helps:

Using resource manager and Task Manager, observed the network and what was using it. Origin was a major user (so was LGHub software, yikes). Turned Origin off, spikes in network stopped. So installed EA App. It was using 1.9% CPU and .1mbs network. 2042 would use 90% plus CPU, jumping up to 92-94. Same for GPU. Played for two hours, with spikes in TN upwards of 400. BW out was also in the hundreds? Network did not spike at all. TN came in waves. TN did not correspond to spikes in CPU or GPU usage. Reset Nvidia settings to default, only turning Prefer Max Performance back on. That helped reduce CPU and GPU load by about 5%. Still getting 110fps, which also does not change during TN.

When I had a 1070, the 5800x never exceeded 35% load and I still had massive TN spikes post 3.1. With the 3060ti in, it’s using more of the CPU of course. When GPU first installed, it was only 60% of the CPU. After a week, it’s up to 92%. With other background programs running (services, icue, EA app etc all using .1 up to 1%) the load on the cpu would touch into 99%. Tried Fallen Jedi for an hour, 45% CPU and 60% GPU usage. Will try V today to see what usage that does.
