Re: Why do I get Easy Anti Cheat Policy Violated - Player Removed From Game?

Hi all,

I have just remembered this one, I have installed the BATTLEFIELD 2042 UPDATE #3.1.0 as soon as was published and after 3 or 4 days installed STEAM at my PC which I had not installed for months although I have games! STEAM wasn't here after I have format my PC last spring I think!

I have search at STEAM directory and couldn't find any Easy Anti-Cheat directory there, I have only STEAM, not a simple game installed from there so far.

Could it be a STEAM Easy Anti-Cheat directory somewhere else and conflicts with the one from BF2042 and causing the error? Just a thought!

Thanks

    @Mindaros Its possible a other game with EAC could cause some issues !
    The EAC will be installed at: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat

    Rename or Delete folder and content EAC at C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat

    The setup files from eac do you find in bf2042 installation folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042\EasyAntiCheat

    In this folder is the file: EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
    , right click at thios file and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
    Now do reinstall/repair eac , also make sure you launch steam AS AN ADMINISTRATOR !

    Test game and reply with your update please !

    @Rokebo73
    Hi,
    I am not running the game via STEAM, I am having it via EA/ORIGIN and since a week I am running the new EA app.

    After my last post I have read the entire topic again to see if I have missed something and at the page 14 if I am not mistaken, I have read your post about this directory with EAC, have checked mine and show 2 folders there,
    this one "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat"
    and another one like that "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS".

    I assume those are EAC installations from STEAM or at least the 1st one, I am not sure what's the 2nd with "EOS" at the end is or from where its coming from, which I have installed after the last BF2042 update and the error came up for the 1st time.

    Again, after seeing that I have uninstalled STEAM and delete those 2 EAC folders from "C Drive", did again a repair at the game, also done a repair at the EAC.exe from the folder inside the BF2042 directory.

    I assume those 2 folders was the problem as you mentioned.
    I have run the game 3 or 4 times after that, played online and solo and I have no error!
    I'll report back after a while to confirm that its solved which I think it is now!

    @Mindaros Ah yes indeed !!
    As i know of , this "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS". got issues with EAC from bf2042 !

    Need to uninstall "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS". and reinstall EAC from bf2042 !

    But as i read , you already solved it by deleting the EOS , its from a other game, i do not know what game it was !!

    Game On , Have Fun !!

    Hi all,

    so for us running the game via ORIGIN or EA App the solution from @Rokebo73  has worked and still working.
    Played many games so far with no kick.

    To summarize the problem has come to me by after installing STEAM.

    STEAM has installed EAC also and this has meshed things up!

    After I read @Rokebo73  advise, I have deleted the EAC directories from there,
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat"
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS",
    as I have mentioned earlier I don't know exactly from where the 2nd directory came up, probably STEAM too!

    Next step was to repair the EAC installation at BF2042 directory and that was it.

    OK, but what if I want to play a STEAM game which runs with EAC?
    EA has to forward this problem, I assume they know better what to do!

    @Mindaros If its the same EAC then you got no issues !
    The EAC_EOS is from a other game:
    as i know, if ya did delete both reinstalled EAC from bf2042 and if needed reinstall EAC_EOS there should be no more issues !

    Incase there is still an issue , then this needs to be reported to each EAC company ! So they whitelist each other !

    Cheers.

    Well guess what,

    seconds ago was playing online and kick from the game by EAC!!!!!!!!!!!

    Something else that I have observed but I am not 100% sure, is that this happened while for example I had multi kills or something multi whatever, not always but I think at the most times.

    Only

    the same as by poststarter.

    And to reply to your previous post, I only have Battlefileds installed at the momment, BC2, 1, 3, 4, 2042 and Star Citizen.

    Everything went wrong after I have installed STEAM because I wanted to see WW3 which I didn't at the end because I have canceled the download.

    After that for the 1st time had and still having the posts error.

    By the way I just show that the EAC EOS probably is from Star Citizen because at the games folder there is that "EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup" but when I run the setup nothing is happening!

    Hi again,

    I have just check again and show that the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat" has returned.
    Its reinstalled but I don't know from what, maybe from BF2042 I am not sure but I'll delete the directory again and see what will happen when I launch BF2042.

    I have also test with Star Citizen and confirmed that the "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS" directory its from this game, at least by me, deleted, verify file etc and reinstall because without it Star Citizen wouldn't run.

    I'll report back.

    Fault alarm,

    the  "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat" directory is appearing after repairing EAC from BF2042 directory and as I show you "@Rokebo73" have already mentioned by that at another post.

    I'll try later this evening to play but I am afraid I will not get rid of it if I will not reinstall BF2042!

    @Mindaros  Hey man.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat is from bf2042 , this one is required !!!
    and it seems , so as i know from others with same EasyAntiCheat_EOS , those both could probarly conflict each other !!
    Remove/uninstall EasyAntiCheat_EOS

    This one should be installed !
    Origin --->>> C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield2042\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

    OR
    Steam --->>> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield2042\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

    OR
    EA app --->>> C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield2042\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

    If this setup is installed then you get an folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
    this folder contains 2 files , EasyAntiCheat.exe and EasyAntiCheat.sys , those are required to run BF2042

    So forget this EasyAntiCheat_EOS , rename / delete / uninstall / move it , whjat ever ya do, You dont need it for BF2042

    Cheers

    PS keep in mind that if ya got a customized install location then you need to look for this setup at your customized location !!

    @Rokebo73
    Υes I understand don't worry,
    the problem is that the EOS is from Star Citizen, without it Star Citizen wont run.
    ORIGIN, don't have it anymore, EA App has uninstall it before it install self.
    STEAM, don't have it also, uninstall it.

    To summarize I have only those,
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat/"
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS"
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2042\EasyAntiCheat"

    As I said, everything went wrong after I have installed STEAM, previous installation with Star Citizen EAC and BF2042 EAC which I have for months didn't produce any problems, at least to me.

    If it occurs again I will try your suggestion to rename the "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat/" folder at least for the time I am playing BF2042.

    EA and BF guys have to investigate what's going on, they have many available information's from this topic.

    @Mindaros This is driving me absolutely insane. IAfter a year I have finally found this game to run well and play amazingly and now out of nowhere I have this issue and nothing has fixed it on EA Desktop. I reinstalled windows last Friday and have had the issue ever since.

    I have
    - repaired the game
    - repaired EAC
    - set EAC to run as admin
    - completely reinstalled the game
    - deleted Battlefield 2042 folder in DOCUMENTS

    Nothing works and it's infuriating

    @Exhail Jo man
    Make sure your game platform is NOT booting with windows !
    As soon windows is booted ya need to start the gameplatform as a admin.
    Right click at the gameplatform shortcut and select START AS AN ADMINISTRATOR !

    Tell we what happens !

    I might have fixed it earlier today. I uninstalled EA desktop and 2042 and then installed origin and re-downloaded 2042. I think I have origin and EAC set to run as admin. Played a few rounds and no kick yet. Will reply back if it starts happening again.
