Re: XBox Controller Not Working on PC for Battlefield 2042

Ok, I had the same issue with my Xbox controller. The thing that was stopping it from working was the Logitech Gaming Software.

By opening Task Manager (right clicking on the Taskbar and selecting Task Manager), I clicked on the 'Startup' tab and scrolled down to Logitech Gaming Framework,

where I then left clicked on it and then clicked on 'Disable' at the bottom right of the Task Manager window.

Then, by rebooting my PC and then running BF2042 through the EA Desktop app, I was then able to navigate through the BF2042 game menu with my Xbox controller.

Obviously, my Logitech devices would not work properly, but by leaving the game running and clicking on the Windows key on my keyboard, I was taken to the Windows desktop.

From here I typed in 'Logitech' and the Logitech Gaming Software app appeared. By clicking on the app, it loaded the Logitech drivers, and then clicking on the already running BF2042 game icon on the bottom Taskbar, I was able to play the game with the Xbox controller working.

  • @Mecx An alternative is to use Logitech's on board profiler to save the basic settings required to the mouse and keyboard etc. This is what I use, and my various side buttons are mapped to f and g. For some reason the game can't see that my thumb button is mapped to control though.
