SecureBoot is not enabled. This is how Battlefield 2042 became unplayable.

The decline is due to the recent update #8.8.0 causing error "SecureBoot is not enabled". Which basically requires the users to activate Secure Boot in their BIOS. Not everyone has the know-how to do this kind of actions. Also not all machines support the SecureBoot feature. This is why the number of players dropped drastically. EA needs to rollback or refund this broken product.

I'd rather play against cheaters than mess around with secureboot. I guess this is the end of 2042 for me

So I dual boot into an encrypted linux partition for work and i can't have secure boot enabled. So I have to either toggle this setting everytime to play battlefield or just not play it. Why are you changing this so far down the road especially since as a long time player I have never even experienced a hacker.

Please revert!

As a lot of people, BF2042 will not launch. I get the "Secure boot is not enabled. Learn how to use ...." My secure boot is enabled at bios. So, what is the fix?

I never even turned off Secure Boot from when I first built my PC, can't play the game since it's not reconized

You have to make sure the Secure boot is active even if it shows enabled in boot. Video demonstrates how to do this. It's a gigabyte mobo for reference. My game is now working after making sure SecureBoot was active.
