Refund from Playstation

I'm a Playstation player who pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 from the Playstation Store. Being that I have a full time job and a life outside of playing video games, I didn't realize the state this game was released in and the surplus of technical issues surrounding it until some time after release. It's not good at all and borderline unplayable. I reached out to Playstation Support and they claimed that becasue the 14 day window had passed and the content had been accessed, I can not get a refund. Their policy states "Digital content that you have started downloading or streaming, and in-game consumables that have been delivered, are not eligible for a refund unless the content is faulty." I said the content is faulty and they said they have no word from the developer or company that the product is faulty therefore having it remain ineligible for a refund. In turn, I contacted EA Support to pursue further assistance in my refund efforts. They said they couldn't do anything for me other than referring me to the forums. So here I am, a long-time Battlefield fan still battling for a simple refund on a digital/non-tangible product that was terrible. How do I proceed with this? Sounds like I essentially need EA/Dice to tell Playstation or other digital retailers that the game is "faulty" and to award refunds to anybody who desires to be refunded...

  • I received the same response from Sony as well. I liked to think I could play this game on my time, but with the servers not being turned on in the morning, since I can literally never get a match, I have to play on EA's time.
