Settings randomly resetting to default when launching the game

I am getting hit with exactly the same things. I've occasionally had a thing where it resets the resolution to some super low res, but this time all settings were gone and I had to setup everything again... Didn't know it was a requirement to keep a backup of the game settings for this game, but it doesn't come as a surprise...
