I always have a backup of my Settings folder under documents, since a hard crash could destroy your profsave file. Just make a copy of your folder and whenever this happens:
-be happy that you have a copy of your settings folder
-get thru the intro/prologue until you get into the main menu(not doing this might botch your copied folder later)
-exit the game
-delete Settings folder
-rename your copied settings folder to the deleted one
-instantly make a copy of this folder again in case anything goes wrong
Served me well and saved a load of time when trying to find out a stable gaming overclock on BFV
- direct3r4 years agoSeasoned Ace@darealHomerMix yeah same workaround here. just backuped the profile files and restore them after I alt + f4 out of the intro, next launch all settings are back. very annoying to set them manually this often!
