Still buggy and lagging after update# 3.

I’m playing on Xbox One.  My game is severely more laggy now after update #3.  I get the persistent error message more frequently and most of my portal games won’t load.  I’m also now experiencing more rubber banding than before update #3

    I'd like to try out some troubleshooting to see if there's anything we can do to help with the issues you've been seeing. 

    First, would you mind running through the basic connectivity steps from the EA Help website to see if that makes a difference? If you're still having any issues after that please let me know. Thanks!

  • I went through the connectivity steps and everything seemed fine on my connection.  I have ordered an upgrade to our Internet which should also help. 

    Now after update 3.1 my servers and games are a lot less laggy.  I only had the vehicles rubber band once or twice during a match.  Update 3.1 seems to have fixed a lot.  I'm looking forward to following and experiencing this game throughout it's life, which is hopefully very long!  Thank you!

    I just wanted to report and confirm that I am still seeing a few bugs after the latest update.  I'm playing on Xbox One.  

    The bug I'm experiencing has been reported before by other players, but I'm not seeing anyone talking about it since the latest update. Last night, every time I exited a vehicle of any kind I suddenly couldn't aim down sights, crouch, or go prone.  I tried many things to fix it, but the only way I could find was to redeploy.  I also noticed when this was happening that all of my weapons and gadgets were "X" out as if I were out of ammo for them.  However, if I selected them I could still use them.  I hope this helps narrow it down.  Also, this was primarily happening in Portal, but I also did experience it during a solo Conquest on All out Warfare against bots.  Thank you for the continued support of a great game!

    That is something I've seen some reports of recently. We've passed it along for a look. 

  • It is now Feb 17, 2022.  I just wanted to report that I am still experiencing the same issues.  I play on both PC and Xbox One versions and I can confirm both of these issues listed are present on both versions. 

    1.) the bug where you cannot ADS after exiting a vehicle first seemed to only be present with weapons with launcher attachments, but now I am seeing this happen with every vehicle and every weapon, even pistols will not ADS after exiting any vehicle.

    2.) since my last post about still having issues after update 3, I have upgraded my internet to fiber optic 100 mbps service, directly connecting my PC and Xbox with ethernet cable CAT-6. The crew came out and laid new fiber and set up a whole new connection.  My modem is new and my PC is fully updated. Yet, I am still showing high ping and latency issues, the icons showing this are constantly showing red and my game is lagging bad.  This is mostly when playing AOW solo with bots or in a private portal game with bots, which I would think would offer lower ping since your server doesn't have a bunch of players, just AI bots.  

    I restarted my modem and my PC and ran an internet speed test....My ping was 21, upload and download speeds are between 95-100 mbps.  I boot up the game only to have it continue to lag and show the many different icons for latency, packet loss, and ping.  Now, I know that typically it is the users internet connection and not the game when issues like this come up, but I have full confidence that it is not my Internet at this point.  Other online games run fine, including past Battlefield titles on my current fiber optic connection.  

    Here are my PC specs: 

    Alienware Area 51 R2 desktop with 1080 ti

    16 gigs of ram

    There are intermittent times when connection seems better and the game plays great on my equipment during those brief moments.  I only ever play with bots whether AOW solo or on Portal mode (with AI synced modifiers to the players).  The only adjustments I make is lowering the overall player count, which again should make the game run smoother with less latency and lag.  Please help as I have spent a lot of money at this point to play this game and it is nearly unplayable for me.  And Please don't get me wrong, I love the Battlefield franchise and I love this Battlefield game, and I'm highly anticipating bug fixes and content releases.  

  • @NoomDaddy1 I am on PC and since they patched the servers on february 8, the game has become unplayable. Lag and freezing are consitent, no matter what I am doing, stationary or moving in CQB. In fact the freezing has increased in the past 2 days. I will take aim and track an opponent and click, no fire or movement, screen jumps ahead, and then I am dead. Whatever they did, it seriously messed up the sync in the game. My ping is 38-41, and FPS is running 78-139, depending on whats going on.

    I could deal with all; the crashes, bugs, no joystick support, etc. But now I cannot even enjoy the basics of the game. I can lay mines and go sit in a corner to watch players teleport and move in mysterious ways around the map.
