@direct3r lmao i tried to do this by creating a portal mode where you spawned as sundance and only had anti armor grenades but it must not have done the trick with the basic editor. Thanks.
@SpudBug yeah it's somehow only fixed by using 1942 or other era guys were you force ths onto. I tried several portal stuff before like a only hero gadget mode but NEVER would have come by myself to the point to use other era soldiers with that gadget
Hello, yes I'm still facing this issue, but with Irish. I'm unable to switch between Irish's Shield and APS. The APS on Irish doesn't exist. I think it might be because it saved a loadout from Portal where it was disabled and now unable to revert.
I found a way to switch the gadgets, if I open a portal server and only allow one aps for irish, then on normal maps I can equip aps without the shield
Now with the launch of Update 4.0, are you still missing this grenade?
Yes, also after Update 4.0 still missing the anti-armor grenade of Sundance sometimes.
But now I can clarify when it happens...
Whenever playing a portal server, which has restrictions or modifications to the gadgets of specialists, afterwards the bug appears in regular matches.
Fortunately our workaround by playing BF1942 soldier with Sundance belt is still working. But had to update my "Sundance bug fix" portal server: Code AA5BG7

You're right, the bug is caused by restricted specialists gadgets at portal servers.
Because I never had a problem with Irish (and was already astonished about), I think, players are affected by the bug, who set up Sundance or Irish as chosen specialist (for assault/engineer class) in their menu.
To fix Irish, maybe the portal servers to fix Sundance will help, too. But I can't imagine, so if not...
Use the instructions of @direct3r in his comment #175:
Create a Free-For-All portal server with BF1942 map (e.g. Battle of the Bulge) and all settings default (especially map default classes & weapons)
Use the rules editor and add "ReplacePlayerInventory" rule for Event "OnPlayerDeployed" like shown in his picture, just replace "Smart Explosives" with "Fortification System" RULE: New Rule EVENT "OnPlayerDeployed" CONDITIONS: Condition "true" ACTIONS: ReplacePlayerInventory (EventPlayer, InventoryCharacterSpecialties "2042" "Fortification System")
That's all. Whenever the bug appears, you just have to play this portal server and have to use APS with BF1942 soldier there. The next regular match the APS will also work for Irish again.

When I have set up Sundance for assault class in the menu and then playing a portal server with restricted specialists gadgets, the anti-armor grenade of Sundance is not available any longer in next regular matches. The same happens to Irish, when I have set up Irish for engineer class in menu before playing such a portal server, then his APS isn't available afterwards.
Also the bug appears when playing Sundance or Irish at portal servers with restricted specialists gadgets.
The only good news is:
The workaround by playing BF1942 soldier with Sundance belt is fixing Sundance and Irish.
So to fix them both, you can play already existing portal servers...
@EA_Leeuw Yes even after update 4.0 I still was missing the grenade. But after hosting the portal game mode the community suggested it has fixed the issue.
