Summarize your bug Texture pop-in, the game randomly with no regards to what settings I am using always has problems displaying textures in full resolution, especially first person weapon model textures. Most of the time the weapon model textures in first person are just a blurry mess and at random the game decides to up the resolution of the texture and then go back being blurry again. Usually happens when I aim down sights. This bug is also prevalent in the in-game world textures like buildings and the terrain but to a lesser degree.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Tricky question. I am not sure if this is only because of my hardware or if it's something wrong with the game. As I said before, it seems random. Doesn't matter if your texture settings are on low or ultra.
What happens when the bug occurs? Most of the time the first person models slowly change their texture resolution, stay there for a while and then start to become even more blurry, or becoming higher resolution. Every time I switch weapons like from my primary to my sidearm, for a split second I can see the full resolution textures on display only for it to become blurry right afterwards.
What should be happening instead? The first person models should be full resolution textures

I've had this problem for a long time now and I have tried multiple things to fix it, from changing my settings in game to changing texture filtering options in Nvidia control panel. This is most noticeable in the first person weapon model textures where they constantly change resolution, becoming very annoying to look at since a lot of your screen shows your weapon model. Weirdly enough this problem seems to get worse and more prevalent if I turn down my settings, usually also coming with another type of bug where the game starts loading in low poly models of everything and every time that happens and the match ends or I quit to the main menu I get a infinite black loading screen. When that happens I am forced to use the task manager to quit the game.

I understand that one of the most common ways to optimize the game and to increase performance is to lower the texture resolution of objects the further away from you are from them. But right now for me it seems like it's flipped on its head and is displaying the things right on my screen in lower resolution instead of higher.

  • I have the exact same issue going crazy trying to fix it but I did narrow it down to the games fov and lighting effect it somehow , if you put fov back to default at 55 the issue goes away almost completely but I play at 100 and if I remained ads then walk in and out if a shadowy area the texture pops in and out

  • @Gordon_Birdman trying rolling back graphic driver. If you recently updated or have it set to autoupdate.. give that a try see if it helps.
I had to roll back my graphic driver after worse blurry landscape on new map. Seem to help but game still trash overall..

Already tried this has nothing to do with drivers or even hardware , have had 2 different gpus with clean driver installs and issue is still here , it’s been happening since game came out , at default fov the issue doesn’t happen , at high fov for example anything above 60 the textures on guns pop in and out , you can really see this if you set the fov to 105 and put on the 1911 pistol any map any lighting , try it for yourself
