Turn off cross play PS5, cannot find game

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm): Every day for the last several weeks, most recently 12/9/2021
Summarize your bug: If I turn off cross play, I cannot load into a game.  I tried this through the Xbox settings before the previous patch and again after the patch through the game settings.  I have tried every suggestion in the technical support area here including changing ports, using a static IP, reset router, reset my Xbox, uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
How often does the bug occur?: 100% of the time
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? On Xbox Series X, turn off cross play and try to join a Conquest or Breakthrough multiplayer match
What happens when the bug occurs?: Just sits in loading screen waiting for other players to join.  Sometimes people are in the squad with me, sometimes it just shows me.  It will eventually time out to the game menu.
What should be happening instead?: The game should load in, without cross play.
