I've had this problem since I unfortunately (pre)bought the stinking product. I'm on XsX, "cannot connect to EA servers". when I do get in a game I might get half an hour in if I'm lucky and then it crashes - sometimes just a medium crash where I get sent back to Xbox Home screen, othertimes it turns my console completely off and loses connection to my controller. What sort of hell could cause that?!!!!
I've been all over these forums looking for a fix and every single time, EA reply with "have you checked you are still subscribed to Xbox Live" or "ït's your DNS" or " Have you checked our troubleshoot page on connectivity?" and when the OP says "der, of course I've tried all that and every single other game works fine and my internet connection is solid and everything else is connected to the internet and maybe, just maybe the problem is on your end..." from there it's crickets from EA. They know it's their problem and for some odd reason (maybe fleecing everyone for a full priced online only game that doesn't work?) they can't say, "Sorry guys, it's the blah and we're currently working on a fix pronto and we'll let you know when it's all good.."
The way they have (mis)managed the undercooked release of this title is staggering!
