Unable to join game

I have tried multiple times to join a game (Hazard Zone) with someone who lives in a different region/country and it keeps saying game not joinable. Please see picture below.

I was successful joining a Breakthrough game from a different region, which had no problems there.      I'm playing BF 2042 on PS5. 

 Does the other player from a different region invite me to join?

It's unfortunate and also questionable why DICE does not create a browser server like the previous Battlefield Games?
