It's starting to seem like there needs to be a patch for Xbox series x/s. I will suggest that maybe cross play is temporarily disabled, and if it fixes the issue then that is the root of the problem, and EA can work on fixing that problem. Seeing as BF2042 is probably really popular, cross play may be forcing devices to connect to a central "cross play" server, and since cross play is automatically enabled, that cross play server may be overloaded due to player counts and therefore the game crashes or fails to connect to the main menu. Essentially, the root of the problem is EA servers, and I feel it may be due to the server architecture, but I'm no expert in this manner so I'm most likely entirely incorrect.
