I've tried EA app recovery, I've cleared the BF2042 cache folder. My drivers are up to date - this is total BS! And 3rd time I've had to go thru this mess.
Few quick questions for ya:
Have you tried a Clean Boot?
Are you running any sort of VPN service?
Have you completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game?
I had this E X A C T same issue for about a week or so and finally found what was going on. I'll link the forum post below for ya. Hopefully with all the stuff we tried- something will help you out!
