My PS4 controller is not working either on PC for Battlefield 2042.
I am shocked PC players are using a controller on a PC more than anything.
a racing game or third person I understand but an FPS?

@MenphuesssSome folk may have a disability (amputation, illness, etc) making mouse and keyboard difficult to use. They may use a custom controller to help them with the basics. Under the general umbrella of adaptive gaming controllers and accessibility.

Others may prefer mouse and keyboard while playing in first person, but enjoy using a wheel as part of their sim set up when in a jeep, or a joystick or controller while flying, which is my use case. I get to enjoy vibration in my old stick, and it's far more fun than playing with mouse and keyboard - my accuracy may suffer a little, but not a lot.
And then there are others who grew up playing controllers on consoles and have never actually played first person shooters with mouse and keyboard. I've got a friend like this and it's a hill he'll die on no matter how much I try to persuade him that he's on a skill plateau, not much you can do when they won't listen. It's like me using a joystick to fly, I suppose.
Either way if EA focus on the accessibility angle of it all, there's no reason why they should be limiting input to a single controller and having so many issues if other things are plugged in. - 4 years ago

Simple, I don’t like playing with a keyboard.
