Take the M4A1, for example. Once it reaches 95/100, assuming the laser mount isn't taken, it should be possible to add it to an "aesthetic" line, which would make it "passive"; the laser would always be off and wouldn't affect gameplay.
Some attachments, however, wouldn't fit into this category, such as scopes or magazines.
This would add much greater creative freedom and diversity to builds (visually).
For example, we could create an M4A1 Block II with the addition of a stock and a handguard, which would be in the aesthetics line, for example.
