Battlefield 6 Beta cons & overall features
I've been playing the Battlefield 6 Beta for several hours and it is undoubtedly fun. But I don't want to go into the things that I see are good. I want to instead highlight the negatives and the things that would impact the game positively if changed or added.
CONS
- The vehicular gameplay in this does not feel good at all. While I haven't used air vehicles, there are many discussions online discussing the details of their cons in much detail. As for the land vehicles, they feel very clunky with the controls. You also don't feel the weight of the vehicles, and at the times that you do, it's overshadowed by the clunky vehicle controls.
2. The maps, at least for the beta, seem small and cluttered. Usually in a Battlefield map there is time between the objectives. Time for you to breathe or think of a strategy on how to approach. But for the maps presented in the Beta. It's constant action which is fun but again, no time to breath or strategize accordingly. These maps almost feel like they would be better at 32 players instead. These maps also have none to barely vehicles at all. Almost all infantry, which leads to the cluttered feeling. Although, through a publication I did see that we've been told there are larger maps that haven't been shown off. I would have loved for one of those to have taken the spotlight instead of one of these dense urban environments.
That's honestly all the major cons other than some bugs here and there.
FUTURE FEATURES
While I understand the game is close too launch and nothing substantial will be added until then; these are things that I think would enhance the overall gameplay of Battlefield 6.
1.Let players join matches with more than 4 people. It's unfortunate you can only get into games with yourself and three friends. It would be better for more people to be able to party up together in the matchmaking and put into their own separated 4 players squads on the same team.
2. Bring back the fortification system seen in Battlefield V. You could give this ability to the Engineer class on building fortifications to freshen it out. With how volatile the destruction is in this Battlefield, it would only make sense to be able to build fortifications to those destroyed structures.
3.Include Grand Operations. Breakthrough but over the course of several maps is widely received as a good gamemode, especially from Battlefield 1. It tells a overreaching story that would be interesting to explore in this fictional modern setting. Seeing as a lot of the maps already in the game have similar locations and atmospheres it would only make sense to add this beloved game mode.
