I agree with many of your observations. I think that because this is an open beta this is exactly the time to air these kind of opinions.
I started playing the battlefield franchise, as I recall, with Battlefield 2142. I liked the Sci-Fi genre of it. But, truth be told, when I played Battlefield 5 it was like coming home to a brand new and suddenly favorite Battlefield game!
In the first open beta weekend which just ended, I played, as one should, all four classes. I prefer, probably due to my age and my massive sense of patience, to be Recon far, far behind the frontline action, taking time to pick my shots. I won't make as much XP as frontline fighters, but I will enjoy myself more.
Nevertheless, I was very pleased at how helpful and interesting the Support class has become. A protective wall, a loadout crate, giving ammo, health, rezzing your fellow soldiers.. truly a great class! Also, massive firepower support with the light machine gun!
I also did my time riding prone on top of a tank (and inside as a gunner) repairing it and risking my life as any good Engineer would! totally fun!
And, by the way, I played assault class long enough to realize my instinct was correct.. I should NOT play the Assault class. Hahaha!
During beta weekend 2, I will focus on the Recon class much more. And I am pleased to see that I can zero my weapon out to 500 yards. Lovely!
NOTE: SCOPE GLINT/FLARE is insanely bright with a massive star-flare effect thrown in! I can see the glint like a searchlight across an entire zone. Sorry, this makes no sense to me. Plus, the sniper rifle apparently shoots tracers which no sniper in their right mind would ever use!
I understand why it's done but it's TOO TOO MUCH!

SpiritofGames you mentioned bullet tracers, I think it's a good feature, but it's exaggerated, I don't know if you're playing Warzone right now, if you do, you'll notice that bullet trace their is way better than here, it's not too visible, but if you focus you'll see it.
And let's hope we get x8 x12 x14 scopes in the final game, and I wish they will be just like BF2042 or BF3, because right now the sniper scope is too small, it should be as big as the screen. I didn't mention this because we only got a x6 scope.

Agree, that would be to much, and with 64 slot lobby's imagine 20 recons shooting tracers, like this would completely **bleep** up the game and make everyone crazy. It also doesn't do anything, so nope, there is no benefit.
What i would like to see is a night map with goggles.. fight with green vision at night! That would be awesome!
