I'm genuinely astonished how everybody glazes BF6. I don't think its horrible, but it's definitely not one of the best.

battlefield 6 will never be as great as battlefield 2. server browsers, map rotation, big open maps, medals, ribbons, the voice over guy with the drum roll when you rank up or earn an award, ranks that take months/years to earn, jets that can only repair flying over runways, the commander rank, sending in uav and artillary or a supply crate, giving squads orders, engineers repairing the artillary when its been destroyed with c4 by the enemy team, the music on loading screens, the armies chosen, mec, china, usa, sas, night maps with proper night vision, flash bangs, grapple hooks and zip lines. ranks were so hard to grind up but it was good, i think i only saw just 1 player with 2nd lieutenant rank. strike at karkand, the best map, i can still hear people spamming enemy boat spotted in the middle of the desert. go, go, go, hit it!
This is exactly how a lot of people feel now, why can't EA, with all their resources, recreate the awesome that was BF2?
This is why people scream no pre orders. - elucidone7 days agoSeasoned Rookie
After swimming in a sea of **bleep** for seven years, it’s no surprise that people have forgotten what a good game even looks like. This just shows most settle for mediocrity when excellence becomes a rare commodity.
Games are dead. What we get today are soulless products churned out for quick cash.

couldn't believe this game still had the same hitreg issues as BF3/BF4 and I guess some of the more recent battlefield titles also had this issue (didn't play any of the recent ones).
It's 2025 how do you still have broken hitreg/damage in your game........ crazy.

I haven’t read all the posts, but from what I see, I’m shocked.
I have no idea what you’re expecting from a modern Battlefield, but what the beta has shown is closer to an “old school” BF than anything we’ve seen in over a decade.Of course, it’s not perfect. It can never be. For one thing, the gaming community and the market are different than back then, and for another, even half of today’s developers couldn’t have played legendary games like BF2, because they might have been around 10 years old at the time. They can recreate Maps or Classes but not a "feeling".
Compared to 2042, BF6 gets so much more right that at some point you just have to come to terms with it and adapt to the current circumstances. That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t post their constructive feedback or wishes, but the fact is that the old game feeling will never come back. That’s simply impossible.
As for technical details – I still play BF3 now and then, and the progress in BF6 is more than obvious. Especially when it comes to netcode and hitreg. You can’t just compare everything based on memories; you have to try to be objective. Even though BF3 is my absolute favorite Battlefield, you have to acknowledge the technical improvements and live with the gameplay changes as they are.
I also wish for BF3 air physics to return, or certain maps and modes. I’m putting a lot of hope into Portal, even though I’ll probably end up disappointed. But that doesn’t make BF6 a worse game. Just a different one.

I agree that battlefield 6 is a copy/paste pile of trash. If you played bf2042 then you played this game too. Both have a sense of not being the battlefield i loved. Battlefield 1942 was the first and last good battlefield. Everything since was a lesser version, with smaller maps and less to do. I am surprised BF made it past 2002, let alone bf6. Either way, I won't be buying anything from this company. Everything they have made has been half assed, at best... including the pile of trash they are calling Battlefield 6.

They should start calling this game Battle Lot, not battlefield. The original Battlefield 1942 had maps you could comfortably fly a plane or even a jet around on. Not this pile of trash. Hardly a field in my book. try a postage stamp or backyard lot at best. This proves the Devs have no idea what Battlefield was and should have been. It's heartbreaking to know a once great game, was destroyed by a group of clueless muppets.

'but stick an apple in a pigs mouth, it is still a pig"
What on earth? Why would an apple in a pigs mouth not make it a pig. The apple has no special ability to make the pig into anything else. The apple has no ability to do anything other than alter the flavor of what is being consumed. The apple is nothing more than a piece of fruit that can be consumed, the pig is also something tasty that can be consumed.
This is the most bizarre thing I've read in a long time.

Nah definitely not, the beta for what it is as well as past betas, it was pretty solid, like a 6 out of ten, yeah it felt like cod a little cause of the small maps but we are getting plenty of big maps too for launch so I got a little bit of faith once they fix the issues it had, otherwise the graphics and mechanics is just absolute cinema
