BF6 beta feedback

Played for 44 hours. There are some major issues with this game. #1 hitreg. #2 maps are too small, objectives are too close together.

  1. Maps are too small.
  2. I thought destruction was fine.
  3. I thought sound was fine.
  4. Player movement. I'm a CoD enjoyer as well, but sliding around with unlimited sprint and no stamina penalty isn't what I expected. Yes, movement feels really nice, but this isn't call of duty. It's too much/too fast.
  5. Weapon balance is all over the place. SMG is just better than Assault rifle/carbine because it has no spread/recoil. Not sure if there's any damage drop off at longer ranges but it doesn't matter when every bullet is able to hit from the SMG. Fires faster, better at close range, better at medium range, no question about it. Weapons need a complete rework.
  6. AK-205 - Time to kill is way too slow compared to other weapons.
  7. Headshot damage multipliers? Remove it. All headshot damage should be the same even if you're using a pistol. If you take a bullet to the head your dead, I don't understand this buff/attachment at all.
  8. Shotgun - remove it as a 2ndary. It's never going to be possible to balance shotguns, never has been. They are either going to suck and be useless or you're going to 1 hit people sliding running around call of duty 360 noscope hipfire style while sprinting. How about a nothanks on that one. It should at the very least be a primary weapon so whoever is using it does not have a ranged weapon other than a pistol. Can we please get some balance here.
  9. Combining medic with support. This is by far the best class and one of the biggest issues I've seen with the game. There are so many reasons why this is bad, sniping being one of them.
  10. Class-restricted weapons should be restricted all the time. This should not be an optional game mode.  Just take support with sniper and why even bother having squad mates?
  11. Assault class - Why the heck is it spawning with such low ammo? Please give assault the ammo bag and just make it so the RPG/genade launchers have cooldowns for ammo that just replenishes on its own after a few minutes. I understand that isn't realistic but it's better than constant nade/rpg spamming and making a medic/ammo class combined into one is way too OP.
  12. Vehicles - Damage was improved against players from previous games which was a step in the right direction but I don't think the bradly's main gun is doing enough damage to players. It still takes way too many shots or aoe splash shots to kill players. Also I was expecting more and more variety of vehicles but this ties into the maps being so tiny which I thought was strange.
  13. Matchmaking. How is it done? Is there any MMR or deciding or performance metrics when you join a game? You're either completely destroying or getting destroyed so bad you're wondering if your team is bots. Can we PLEASE have MMR this time around or an MMR exclusive mode to these game types? This would also assist with having to worry about whoever is jumping into a vehicle, dive-bombing the plane into the ground at players to try to kill them because they don't know how to drop bombs or fly, or driving the tank into the other tank to troll. I'm sick and tired of playing with casuals in battlefield games ruining the experience.
  14. Hitreg issues / damage issues? From what I could see this is still a problem. Example: Firing into persons neck area - I see at least 10 hitmarkers while this person is sprinting at me at close range, he shoots while coming out of a sprint and kills me instantly with an SMG and I never stopped firing/seeing hitmarker. How is this possible? I've seen this multiple times. I've also tagged people from longer ranges at least 10 times and they never died when using assault rifle weapons. No idea what's going on there, either the game has hitreg issues or some of these weapons/damage drop off are horrendously balanced. This just seems too common for it to be a fluke or someone cheating.

Added an entire separate thread regarding this hitreg issue:

I've cancelled my preorder at this time based on this hitreg issue. These are the same issues that occurred in BF3 and BF4 when I stopped playing battlefield due to those issues and from what I understand these problems are even worse in the last couple of releases of this game.

  1. Breakpoint - The attacking team loses 99% of the time. This needs to be reworked or the maps needs to be opened a bit more, the chokepoints are too much.
  2. RPG. Splash damage should be improved. I can run next to a tank as an engi and shoot the RPG into it multiple times without dying and the tank isn't able to do anything about it because I'm too close to it yet the RPG aoe damage isn't enough to kill me.
  3. Vehicle 3rd person. - 3rd person aiming does not seem accurate with tanks compared to 1st person. Feels like its off by a few degrees.

*edited - Cancelled my preorder based on hitreg issues.

I didn't see anything innovative with this beta, it is an improvement from your last game but it is not an improvement from older games (maps/vehicles).

I'll also add that I've been playing battlefield since the original BF2 in 2005, I've played a lot of CoD as well. Battlefield is meant to be that in-between game between CoD and Arma. Stray too close to one side of these styles and people are going to notice.

They need to fix the hitreg in this game, right now it is completely broken and is the #1 issue in the game. The #2 issue for me is the maps are too small and objectives are too close together. Cancelled my preorder based on these hitreg issues. I've already experienced how bad this is when playing BF3 and BF4 back in the day and I'm not willing to repeat the experience. Fix your game.
