BF6 Feedback for launch/later updates.

I'm posting this discussion in hopes of possibly having my voice heard as I love the BF games and this game is around 80% the way there to being GREAT modern Battlefield game. I will list what I like and what I'm not so keen on. I respect some of the upcoming changes that have been listed on social media like the spawn beacon having limited usage by a squad before it breaks, awesome stuff but, on the other hand I dont agree with it going to the Assault class as an example, below you'll see my reasons, what I like and dont like.
Pros:
- Movement feels great: It feels like an update to classic BF movement, glad some features from BFV were included, love the roll and mantling, I'm excited to see how its tweaked for launch.
- Gunplay is nice and I like it a lot: It really reminds me of a mixture of Bad Company 2 and BF3
- Weapon attachments: I love the attachment costs and adjustments to gun stats
- Game runs pretty well: Was getting a good 80+ frames fairly consistently with my graphics settings on balanced. Then I got even more with DLSS balanced active pushing it to an easy 100+, still room for improvements, I'll list my specs below for reference.*
- I like the maps: They generally play pretty well but need adjustments which will be in the Cons section.
- Class traits: I like these as they are an evoltion to squad perks from BF4, with the bonus of a small helpful ability.
- Revive drag: I dont know how you did it but you've made the best drag revive mechanic I've ever used in any shooter, usually in other games I 'm fighting the controls to grab someone so I can drag them to a safe spot to revive them.
- Ragdoll: The ragdoll is so much fun please keep it, it's a nice goofy element that can be enjoyed by all and in some cases: it adds to the immersion.
- Sound design: Outside of maybe cranking foot steps a little more the over all sound design is great and as of yet I dont have an issues with the mixing.
- Ease of playing with others: I love how EA connect actually works making it easy for my friends and I on different platforms being able to easily connect and play together.
- Game searching: I'm happy a way to search for specific games and maps was added! Although I would prefer if the server browser was just available for BF6 as a whole and not just the portal mode.
Cons:
- Class balance/dynamics: Support should be ammo, suppression and gadgets around support their team like in BF3 having mortars or in BF4 having XM25 airbust GL for anti-infantry.
- Allow people to pick up ammo from a Support: Exactly like you can grab health from Medics in BF5 in case they arent doing their job by not putting their ammo crate down.
- Assualt should be the medic class again: Give players options to use GLs like in previous BF games, with variantions using different ammo types like smoke to support and protect allies or anti-personel along side healing or reviving. Forcing them to have one of each gadget to really make them think about how they wanna play it, GL and heals or GL and reviving or heals and reviving.
- Do not move the spawn beacon to the Assault class... you're going to make the class not only even more selfish but it will also just make the Recon class pointless as Assaults will just run AR/LMG and a Sniper just doing the same things Recons do but better regardless how how you tune traits and signature weapon perks.
- Please remove signature weapon perks: I understand what you are trying to do but they're just such a small buff that doesnt really make much of a difference at all.
- Lock weapons to classes permenantly: Please just stop the open weapon class silliness, if people want that thaty'd go to CoD. Weapons should be locked to classes to encourage play styles alongside the role they play.
- Maps need to be bigger: The maps are good as I said above but they're not to the scale of maps we fought on in the last BF games where they were big and varied for BFs large scale combined arms gameplay.
- Colors used/Color grading: I dont mean this as a dig but please look at Mirrors Edge and BF5, they restricted the usage of color and what color they could use, really stood out making everything standout in a beautiful yet cohesive way. Right now we have bleak realistic colors that are okay but things could be way better without being to bleak or oversaturated.
- UI/UX: Please make the menus like BF3 / 4, we dont need the Netflix/Hulu style streaming app UI it needs to go. I loved the intro to BF3 where the soldier on the Battlefield walks through it finally hiting the pose seen in the iconic cover and main menu. It looked great and I loved when you had premium the menu and game logo would change in response to it getting a bit more golden while under the BF logo was a premium logo to match. BF4 - 5 is annoying to use due to the attmept to combine the games via the Hulu style UI, nightmare for mouse and controller alike to navigate.
- Bring back 5 man squads: I know this one doesnt quite work for 32v32 teams but please allow 5 mans squads to comeback.
- Bring back 64vs64: Please bring back 64vs64 it was Battlefield in its truest form with all the chaos and moblized efforts from every squad across large maps.
Nit picks/Suggestions:
- Adjust what weapon is cross class and class specific:
Assault: ARs
Engineer: Carbines
Support: LMGs
Recon: Snipers
All: DMRs, PDWs/SMGs and Shotguns - Limit what gadgets can be equiped together: Engineer is pretty strong right now due to being able to carry an anti-tank and anti-air launcher, previosly they would have to make a chocie of being one or the other with their launchers while still having mines or the repair robot that could arm M-Coms in Rush.
- Class appearances: Please keep the grounded looks of the classes but make them more defined like how Bad Company 2 to BF4 did, make them tacticool while still being grounded using BF3 / 4 as an example, you can tell if a player is a support from a glance due to them being covered in ammo belts and having some other gear making them look a bit bulkier than the rest. They dont stand out enough and its recreating the BF5 issue again of struggling to identify enemies (alongside the shader issues too).
- Give everyone bandages again: Please give all clases ONE small bandage at max to heal themselves with, it can only be replenished by an Assault/Medic. In BF5 with its TTK having that little pocket heal to keep you going long enough until you found a medic or healing station was always great.
- Soldier chatter: Please please please please make the soldier chatter as funny and aggressive
as it was in BF3, those VAs gave it their all when delivering some of those lines and my god they were great!!!
When ever I mentionany previous games in a setence that means literally all of them, except for BF2042. Never played it due to it playing like literally every other shooter with Operators with a bit too close of a resemblance to current CoD games.
