BF6 just doesn’t feel like Battlefield to me

A second Battlefield beta in a row that’s turned me off buying it.

I’m not a hardcore BF fan but have enjoyed hundreds of hours across BF3, BF4, and eventually 2042 on PlayStation, and prefer it over Call of Duty.

This just feels off and not like Battlefield to me. I can’t articulate exactly why, maybe it’s a combination of a lot of things.

Maybe it’s the tiny maps.

Maybe it’s none of the weapons feel enjoyable to use.

Maybe it’s because kills don’t feel satisfying.

Maybe it’s because it’s slow to move.

Maybe it’s because the overall mechanics just feel off to me as a Battlefield game.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been so used to 2042, and Warzone since Verdansk came back.

It’s definitely partly because the TTK is far too quick.

It’s definitely partly that I can’t hear a single enemy footstep.

It’s definitely been one of the least enjoyable and most frustrating FPS experiences I’ve had in years. I didn’t enjoy a single match in over 4 hours.

The experience has been such a let down after seeing the early gameplay. It looked amazing and like they’d made a modern BF3/BF4 which I was so hoping for. It’s a shame I don’t feel it’s a patch on those. I’d still rather play 2042 if this is what’s coming.
