I agree. It has the look of BF but completely feels like CoD and that's something I do not want to play. I'm disappointed really. I thought after 2042 they might have learned from their mistakes. I loved Battlefield Bad Company 1 &2, Battlefield 3,4,V and 1, but 2042 was lacking for me. I put some amount of hours into it at first hoping it would grow on me, but then never went back to it, even after the class system and map changes. I was done.
I feel like 4 days on this and I've played enough CoD for a lifetime now.
TTK Vs TTD is just ridiculous and I've got a fast connection with my ping always under 20, so it's not an issue with me. Entire clips into people with hit markers and then having to switch to pistol and still, I die first?
Flags are too close together. Spawning is too fast. Maps are too small and cluttered. I miss playing huge expansive Grand Operations and having your squad tactically making a difference. There's none of that here. Squads don't really feel important.
Class system is flawed - being able to use any guns - Snipers glinting absolutely everywhere seemingly getting no suppression - they can headshot you even while under fire every single time!
Competition in multiplayer shooters is non-existent now. You've got CoD trying to be more like Fortnite, and BF trying to be like old CoD. I get they want to make money but there's a complete lack of choice.
Seems to now be, if you can't beat them, join them - and that's a real shame for us who wanted a new Battlefield game to play. Sadly, as it stands, I don't think I'll bother with it this time.
100% Totally agree with you. It really feels like BF6 lost that big, tactical Battlefield spirit we loved in the older games. The small maps, fast spawns, and weird TTK/TTD just don’t feel right. I miss those huge Grand Operations and squad-based teamwork that made Battlefield unique. Hopefully, the devs will hear us and bring back what made Battlefield special.
