End of beta Feedback

After around 50h over the 2 week-ends of beta I wanted to write this feedback.

Overall the game is really enjoyable, after not playing BF in a while I found what I liked back then.

To start with the bad points first, I really think too many maps are "close combat" focused and in the end the whole experience starts to feel too much like your average Call of Duty all the time.

To add to this feeling one map was IMO ruined by some youtuber/streamer who had nothing else to do than find exploit and glitch. The said map is Cairo which is now filled by people I won't name in case of being insulting. The map was enjoyable during the first days but is now plagued by those cancerous people.

Another exploit which is kinda annoying but manageable is on the Tajikistan map where there are many spot from where you can snipe under the map/mountain dealing damage but not receiving any or being seen from outside.

Now for the good sides. The whole arsenal we had in the beta is nice to use. Many weapons are a bit too broken right now I think but overal it's ok. Only thing I felt during the game I did is a weird "uneven" feeling about the time to kill which is sometimes increadibly short and sometimes way too long (for the same amount of bullets hit ofc).

The maps are nice and have all good map design and overall look (I just hope there will be more bigger maps).

For the classes, they feel fine but I would tweak some of them. Currently nobody really have any interest in playing Engineer from what I saw. Also the ammo bag is overused by the Support classes which make most of ppl taking it for the bag and not for the rez making you wait to your death even with 4/5 medics around you.

As a conclusion I would say I could be interested by the full game now (even more since I like the solo campain) but the main thing keeping me from buying it for now is the reactivity to fix glitch and abuse like the one on Cairo map. If it stays like this I will probably save my money because I don't have time for **bleep** abusing everything they see on youtube. The game was fun despite that so it would kinda be a pity to not fix this.

  • I agree, I really hope that there will be more large maps. If they make a bunch of CQC maps and totally forget about the large ones, then it's game over. For me, BF was always about large-scale combat with a bunch of ground and air vehicles. Now, we have Liberation Peak, which I'd call a medium-sized map, similar in size to Dawnbreaker and Zavod. But if they remake Firestorm into a medium-sized map (since they said it's not going to be an exact copy), it means we have what? One or two large maps left? I really hope that it does not come to that, since it's going to ruin the experience for many fans. It's like they decided to attract more COD players, but forgot about the older ones.
