Everything I want to say about Battlefield 6's Open Beta

Maps:

Out of the 3 maps we have so far, only 1 of them is fun.

  • Siege of Cairo is your average brown map. It's basically a maze and is a mess to navigate. Tanks barely fit anywhere except for the border of the map. Plus, I played like 18 matches and 11 were on this one. It's boring. And small. And barely lets you breathe. The spawn system is pretty **bleep** too because I swear the game tries its hardest to spawn me in enemy crosshairs.
  • Liberation Peak is, well, I don't have to say much about this one. It's pretty much sniper central. Can't go 30 seconds without getting shot at by them. Don't forget the lighthouse-bright sniper glints constantly shining. It's too open with hardly any cover.
    • BOTH of the maps are atrociously balanced for Breakthrough. Defense pretty much always wins. Attack team can barely get back Sector 1.
  • Which brings me to Iberian Offensive. It's the most fun out of all 3. Solves basically all the problems the other 2 maps have. Tanks fit in more places, there's more cover and is not open and actually feels like you're in an armed conflict in a city. I would like the other maps to be like this.

Others:

  • The firing range is very finicky. You can only use one weapon at once (as in, you can't have a primary and secondary at the same time). If you switch weapons, they get swapped in the actual loadout too.
  • There's a lot of blur and enemies are barely visible. Everything is brown and they blend well really easily. Yes, that's probably how it works in actual armed conflicts but I'm playing a game and I would like to see enemies.
  • The TTK is INSANELY fast. I am down by the time I even realise that I'm getting shot at. I think even CoD's TTK is a wee bit slower. But it's been a while since I've played one of those so I don't remember. Maybe make it a bit slower? Enough to allow a reaction. It could be a skill issue from my end, sure, but I've seen others in my matches complain too.
  • The defib for the medic is a bit weird. The revive notification is barely visible and you have to manually press the mouse button to finish the revive process.
  • The maps, man. There's 3 maps in the beta but all I get is **bleep**ing Siege of Cairo. I am already so sick of it. Plus, they're all so tiny and you can't even take a breather because some other person is right there. Tanks don't fit into many parts of the streets and I have to take a looong turn.
  • You'd think that destruction would be very impressive. I tried to make my own way using the tank but barely anything fell apart. I had to take a detour anyway.
  • The grenade throwing is a bit iffy. Feels like something straight out of Halo. It should deffo take more time to throw it. Plus, I think there should be some sort of a prediction curve when cooking the grenade.
  • Breakthrough matches are skewed completely towards defense. The attackers almost never get past Sector 1.

Additional Concerns:

The lack of destruction is pretty concerning (ignore me dying).

  • I completely agree, there needs to be tickets counts for both sides given the lopsided spawn placement, especially on liberation peak. The non NATO faction has all the cover and it’s nearly impossible to move without constantly getting sniped. They also have all the high ground. The best way to balance if you want to keep it this way is to give thee NATO side artillery placements so we can put fire support on the high ground. Better yet get ride of the high ground altogether.

Also I don’t understand why I am being killed almost instantly, yet sometimes it take a whole msg to kill another player. Is it lag or cheating??
