Feedback - medic/support class and things related
A short feedback for the support/medic class and things related to it. Feel free to add your own observations. :)
- LMG for a frontline medic isn't very useful. I guess it may work when focused as a fire support (even though the LMG has negligible suppression effect) while sitting a bit back, but doesn't work well with the active medic running left and right to revive teammates, mainly due to a slow ADS.
- Bleed-out feels a bit too fast, compared to previous titles. In my opinion, it should be about 25% longer - it will give medics more time to react and also may slow the game a bit. As a medic, you need to notice a downed player, you need to assess the danger and ensure your own safety (like to wait for the thrown smoke grenade to cover you sufficiently, etc.), run to the player and then finally revive - all that takes time. The "default" bleed-out without the downed players actively calling for help (which is something not everybody does) feels quite short for that.
- It seems that bleed-out doesn't stop when reviving and the player may die even when being actively revived. It should stop during reviving. I didn't test this thoroughly though, so I may be wrong with this observation.
- There should be a clear and visible indicator/prompt near the crosshair for the defibrillators that the action will be performed. More often than not I am not entirely sure if I will revive somebody or I am pointing slightly off the body and nothing will happen.
- There should be some tolerance and clear feedback for the ping "I am going to revive you". Often I will put a marker on the ground near the body instead of telling the player that I am coming to revive. Also, there is barely noticeable feedback that I really pinged the downed player. I think both worked nicely in Battlefield 2042 and there was no issue to ping downed player even in a heat of battle.
- When in a downed state, there should be more obvious you can still ping the enemies. For example, there should be a sound when you ping something/somebody to provide a clear feedback to the player. That also applies for pings in general, as it was in previous titles.
- There should be some prompt when dragging a body that you can stop the reviving. It seems that sometimes players don't know that and get killed needlessly.
