Grenade Launcher Spammers

Tried playing some King of the Hill games.

Had a couple blokes who did nothing but spam point blank grenade launcher shots without killing themselves.

We went through this 20 years ago with Battlefield 2. You can't let people dolphin dive spam noob tubers.

Please add a decent arming range, like you have with the RPG.

    A counterpoint:

    All grenade launchers deal way too little splash damage. It's ridiculous when you shoot a 40mm into a super tight space (like these storage rooms on Siege of Cairo) where 3 enemies are hiding and you kill none of them when the grenade impacts literally a meter from them. They're next to useless right now unless you hit enemies directly. Doesn't matter if it's HE or thermobaric, both suck.

    Now I get there's a fine line to walk when it comes to balancing these things, but I really don't see them as being OP right now, quite the opposite. And a last point, you can't dolphin dive in BF6 like you could in early patches of BF2. Speaking of BF2, infantry combat was dominated by the Medic class back then, not the Assault class with the grenade launcher.

    Yeah because they nerfed the noob tube and the c4 chucking (a beta special that was hilarious to see games of nothing but discus c4 throwing but thankfully quickly patched) and the special forces medic G36E unlock was superior to the assault weapons.

    All the explosives have low splash damage. The C4 is weak as well, instead of two c4 blowing up a tank like the old days you need to throw all of them (it's hard enough c4ing a tank with the instant spin guns and the 3 repairers hanging about, making it require all the c4 means constant deaths right before you can pull the trigger), same with the tank cannon. Even the IFV is weaker than it probably should be (it should be one of the strongest anti-infantry weapons in the game). The AA tank might as well be shooting rubber bullets.

    If they buffed the radius/power but added a decent arming time it would make the grenade launcher more useful.

    I suppose they don't need to prone now, so it's not really "dolphin diving".
