Hate It or Love it, My BF 6 Feedback
My first BF I played was 1942. I still remember trying to fly with the mouse and crashing off that carrier lol. Really enjoyed BC2 and BF3 but I played BF4 and stopped. Game series was going in a weird direction around BF3 and was confirmed with BF4. One, V and 2042 just had "**bleep** fest" written all over it. I used to really enjoy the sniping in the series until the "sweet spot" aim assisted head shot crap was being introduced around 3 and 4....
Reasons I stopped playing the franchise (some reasons)
- aim assist hard coded into the game. (similar to that trash COD) If you dont know what im talking about, look it up.. you'll know how disappointing it is.
- One example would be the 4x scope instant head shot nonsense with the sniper rifle.
- removed the player skill to add in assistance which directly affected the TTK and direction of combat flow
- The direction of graphics over destruction
- static routes that cant be destroyed with half asked destruction like out wall "cave ins"
- The reason people loved BF so much was because of the destruction and "choose your own path" from it.
BF6 PRO'S & CON'S
- Game is decent at least from the beta. It feels like it is headed back into the correct direction that made battle field great
- I like the fatal wound/head shot no revive. that's a nice touch
- Friendly fire off? what is this nonsense. Makes the game feel too arcade-like and pathetic
- New class icons are ugly and pointless
- Gender/race locked classes is dumb... even from a NATO perspective. Let the players decide... has nothing to do with wokeness or any crap like that. Some of the voice lines are annoying regardless of gender which just comes down to voice acting and what that line is specifically written as for that actor.
- Voice lines like "right in the face" are cheesy garbage that ruin the immersive moments
- LMG feels too weak
- There is no wall banging (shooting other players through walls) especially with the LMG.
- RPG feels weak against players. Literally shot one at 3-4 engineers beside a tank and not one of them died.. but the tank took full damage... the power of a rocket propelled grenade...
- armoured vehicles feel weak not only defensively but offensively
- Sliding around is lame AF, even if it was nerfed it's still corny to see someone slide 2-3 character lengths. I can understand diving to cover... but this?? no thank you. Trash, just like in COD.
- The parachute window/allowance to parkour buildings in maps/play modes is absurd.... there is no need to have a parachute... especially to function like that outside of an air craft..... why? Makes the game feel like a theme-park and the unlimited parachutes is just an attraction to stimulate the minds of little kids. Would rather it put on a large cooldown (CD) or one time use per life.
- Bunny hopping and jumping distance is absurd. Similar opinion to the parachute... dial it back. I saw people jumping in all directions absurd distances and comically stupid patterns to dodge.
- Aside from the netcode packet losses and bloom bug... the TTK feels weird. In my opinion I think BF3 had the best TTK or atleast from what I remember from the games "working" state.
I did enjoy the open beta aside from the issues and personal preferences for feedback as posted but I wouldn't say it was worth pre-ordering for. I'm going to be sceptical for the next few weeks to see what non-sense is discovered. I honestly dont trust AAA gaming and havn't for years. If there is a way to spit in the faces of their fanbase/consumers... they'll find a way.
