Feedback on UI for BF6 and design to make it more concise
Although the current UI has been changed to a new form during the Pre-Alpha test, I still find that the information is separated on the screen. HP appears below the player's name without a number on the left, while the number of bullets and shells, etc. is on the right. The health points of tanks and aircraft are in the middle. This makes it hard for players to focus on one side to obtain sufficient information. In addition, there is no text box like other bf series that displays all the numbers of bullets and shells. They just stay in their own boxes instead of showing figures in a fixed place.
In this case, I made this UI(Although rather simple and crude) for the exhibision. The features are as follows.
- Drawing on the health bar design of bf3, it uses heart rate graphs and HP sizes to represent the health values of players.
- Learning bf1 and bf5's Inventory format. In the text box you can know what you are using in your hands when inventory is hidden. RPG? Or a hand-gun.
- Quick to check the Burst Mode in the text box and your HP with precise data rather than just health diagrams.
- Use the Loading animation when loading the map (. . . .) It serves as a battlefield upgrade marker and displays experience points, allowing players to understand when they reach the next level.
When we hide the Inventory, we could earn the feeling like playing bf3 ,4 and get enough information as we do now in the OPEN BETA.
Many CN fans still feel a little bit disappoint about the UI design. The current UI is not concise enough and is distracting, in my opinion. I hope BF STudio could hear my voice and make UI more perfect.
