It has potential.
I would like to see better default operator/soldier skins (the American engineer has gloves on yet still has a second pair hanging on their carrier); they really just don't feel as believable and authentic as BF3, BF4, and BF1. Also for class identification purposes in a match, it would mean more to true battlefield fans than just looking for icons. Also the TTK/TTD needs some serious balancing; it feels too much like a call of duty arcade shooter and not enough like a traditional Battlefield. As well as the grenade throwing, i feel like it's pretty janky, and the animation leaves much to be desired. The destruction seems a bit excessive; shooting a door even with a pistol results in vaporization. We need to be able to make tactical holes, not destroy everything. The weapon mounting would benefit from a double-tap ADS to mount. As it stands, if you play with the alternative button layout like many do, mounting becomes very tedious and almost unusable; you get forced to crouch if you want to mount, etc. I've put some hours into the early access, and so far I enjoy the game; it really has serious potential and had me feeling a lot of nostalgia and excitement. This game is something we all have wanted for a long time. A modern battlefield experience, a classic MIL SIM. Battlefield never failed to deliver just that until post BF1. The last few titles were definitely half-baked and incomparable to the greats such as BF3, 4, and 1, in my opinion.
