Just use warthunder mouse controls for heli jets

As the title says. I dislike the way heli and jets controls in battlefield games. It works perfectly fine on controllers or joysticks on pc.  But when you use a mouse, it doesn't work.  Warthunder has the mouse control perfect. So why not copy it over?  Am I not understanding the mouse controls in BF? Let me know I'm open to figuring this out.

Let me use an example.  Let's say you're in a jet, in a circle fight against another jet.  On a controller, you would roll, then pitch up with your analog stick, controlling the amount of pitch by varying how much you push your analog stick.  This keeps your aim on target constantly.

Now let's try this with the current mouse controls.  Dragging the mouse corresponds to moving the analog stick.  However in order to "hold" the analog stick inputs to "pitch up", you need to continuously dragging the mouse. You're going to run out of mouse pad extremely quickly.  If you move the mouse and stops, the jet stops pitching, because the controls treat it as centering the analog stick.

Warthunder's method, for those never played: the aircraft has a center reticle, where it aims.  There's a separate mouse reticle, corresponding to your mouse. Moving the mouse moves the mouse reticle.  The further away the mouse reticle is from the aircraft reticle, the bigger the aircraft movement.  Basically, it's an analog stick.  When the mouse reticle is returned to the same place as the aircraft reticle, the "analog stick" is centered, and the aircraft stops moving.

Why is this important?  Because you can simply move the mouse in the direction you want to travel, hold it there, and the aircraft will continously turn in that direction.  As long as your mouse reticle is over the target, the aircraft will simply turn towards it.  Point (with lead) and shoot.  That's it. Simple and intuitive.  Whereas in current BF aircrafts, you will have to continously move the mouse in the direction of desired travel, over and over again; leading to jerky movements and extreme difficulty in aiming.

That's it. that's my rant. am I using the mouse/keyboard combo wrong? Every youtube clip I've seen has players talk about flying jets using controllers.  So if you got a good tip for mouse flying, let me know!
