K/D removal

Very unpopular opinion here I know but I think maybe removing K/D from stats and making other things like objectives more the focus in the player stats will prevent the "Call Of Duty" type players who just sit trying to get kills and hindering the team who are trying to play objective from solely focusing on themselves and putting more thought into the team.

Honestly, I tend to have more fun in games that *don’t show you your kd, or at least when kd doesn’t track in your stats. That’s one of the reasons I loved War mode in WWII. I could constantly battle for objectives, without having to whine about “not having a 2kd this match” lol. There’s a big psychological element to getting more kills than deaths… and removing that stress is a huge relief. So yeah, make it about score.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I bet it's one that will change how people play the game for the better part.
Will for sure get rid of the mentally weak self-gas lighters who refer to their K/D to pad their ego once they lost the game.

I can see it encouraging people to PTO more often as well.

hard pass. k/d is a part of my overall performance. an important one, the enemy can not win if they are dead, i can do more for my team the longer i live.

not a chance, if you don't want to see it then ignore it. Has nothing to do with how players play the game either. Someone who is good will still run in and try to revive when possible. Just because you're bad and have no idea what you're doing doesn't mean other people need to get features/options removed because of it.

On the other hand though, you can kill as many enemy as you want and still lose every engagement if you do not play the objective (possibly depending on game mode; I am thinking of Conquest and Breakthrough here). I agree it is part of your overall performance as an individual , but says next to nothing about your ability to work in a team and accomplish the mission, and that is in my opinion what Battlefield is about.

It's not about me not wanting to see K/D. I just feel it may compel people to look beyond only prioritising themselves. I've played numerous games and a good majority of people only play assault class (fair enough if that's what you want) but also people who play other classes like support and don't revive and only focus on themselves because they want a high K/D. As for your comment on my ability it just seems like you're lashing out because I mentioned something which I did preface as an "unpopular opinion" so chill out
