TTK and overall broken damage model

I just got into a firefight engagement where the only part visible of the guy was his head from about 10 meters away, im using an LMG and got 4-5 HIT MARKERS and the guy still didn't die. Clearly something is broken here

In most instances at close range >10M it takes 2-3 shots even at point blank range with an LMG that is completely unrealistic. At further ranges the damage model is even further broken with kills at 25M+ away taking 5-8 hit markers to secure a kill. I understand wanting to give players a chance to react but you have completely f**** up the damage in this making it feel more like a game of Call of Duty than the battlefield we all know and love.

DMR's in their current state are completely unusable sith them also taking a staggering 3 hits to kill just one guy. What is the point in using a precision weapon with high stopping power if it still takes multiple shots to take down someone even at close range.

I really really wanted to love this game as someone who has been playing battlefield games since bad company but you have really dropped the ball on so many aspects this time around and it seems like most of it stems from trying to appeal to call of duty kids while ignoring your core fanbase of battlefield vets.

  • Kinda strange to hear that. With LMG I need at least 10-15 shots to kill somebody in middle range and 8-9 in 2 meters proximity besides headshots what is unbelievable huge amount in comparison to assault rifles with 2-3 shots only to kill.

And that's the same caliber but must more powerful weapon with huge speed of shooting (what is not in the game rn)

Machine guns just feels like big smg with slow very slow fire rate. Like m60 machine gun but not in 7.62 but in 556 that's what I actually feel

I'm using the KTS100 MK8 for the record.

It is chambered in 7.62 rounds but even with that caliber boost compared to the L110 it still takes way more rounds to down a target than it should. As i stated in the post even headshots within 10 meters aren't an instant kill (even with multiple headshots in succession) so there is either a problem with the damage model, hitbox detection, or both.

Yes, agreed. It's a strange why 7.62 in kts 100 inflict way less damage in the same time as l110. 100% agreed. Also ak204 kinda useless now very slow very low damage.
